The ladies of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta had part 2 of their reunion special this week, officially ending their second season. The reunions usually make for pretty good TV, but this one seemed surprisingly low-key compared to last year. The housewives spent much of the time downplaying the drama and there were plenty of non-answers and “next” responses to host Andy’s questions (not to mention quite a few eye rolls). Maybe they were just trying to tone it down, but Purse Blog reports that there may have been a dispute with Bravo over a possible syndication deal for the show (and their lack of extra compensation for it), so they may have held things back intentionally. Ok ladies, I get it - you want to get paid. But don’t forget the viewers here. We need answers!

But, I can’t say it was all bad. We got a rousing rendition of Tardy for the Party performed live by Kim, which was quite entertaining. Host Andy looked like he was genuinely enjoying it, but some of the other housewives looked amused and laughed during the performance. Then they all played nice when asked their opinion on it afterward. C’mon, where is Simon Cowell when you really need him? I’d like to hear what he has to say.

I must say, I always find Dwight entertaining. He’s all about keeping it real.

Kandi’s performance of Fly Above was definitely a high point. I’ve enjoyed her being on the show this season and she’s obviously very talented and cool. She also has great style, which leads me to the shoes (oh yes, the shoes).
The cameras zoomed in on the housewive’s shoes during the show and it looks like most of the cast is rocking Christian Louboutin. The biggest standout?

The hottest pair was Kandi’s glitter Christian Louboutin Bridget Strass, listed on the official Christian Louboutin website under Total Madness. Yep, Kandi definitely knows how to bring it on down in the shoe department.
The glitter version doesn’t appear to be for sale anywhere right now, but you can get this similar Christian Louboutin Lace Bootie in black at Bergdorf Goodman for $1,785 or the leopard version for $1,795 at Barneys.
Of course, this is an insanely high price and I haven’t seen anything that remotely resembles the Bridget Strass, but here are two pairs that have a lacey, feminine appeal for much less:

Left: Newport News lace bootie for $49 at Newport News Right: Bebe Bella Lace Sandal for $149 at Bebe
Update: Check out the Christian Louboutin Bridget lookalike shoe that I found for much less.
Kim wears the Christian Louboutin Contente Over The Knee Boot. Actually, I don’t know this with complete certainty because there are lots of OTK boots out there and I didn’t get a good look at the heel or sole, but Kim does have a thing for Louboutins, so it makes sense.

Here’s a more cost-conscious over the knee boot:

Colin Stuart Over The Knee Boot for $189 at Victoria’s Secret. Coupon code FALL09 takes $30 off, making them $159, until 11/18/09. Other options include the Chinese Laundry Kingdom for $99 and the Nine West Iunia for $139.
NeNe wears a pair that looks similar to this Christian Louboutin Bouquet, which is $1,025 at Bergdorf Goodman (her pair was a closed-toe style).

Here’s a more affordable floral lace option:
Guess Carrielee in black multi satin for $99 at Guess or the Guess Chief in black for $109.95.
Sheree wears the Christian Louboutin Tashaf in metallic blue and silver. It’s $955 at Bergdorf Goodman.

Want something shiny and blue for less? Try this:

Nine West Panout for $79 at Nine West. Or, there’s the Nine West Gouda in blue for $59.99 with an extra 30% off at checkout until 11/30/09. Update: Here’s a metallic blue heel option, the Metallic Diamond Toe shoe at Wet Seal for $24.50.
Lisa wears a leopard-print heel and I’m not sure if it’s Christian Louboutin. If so, it would be something similar to (but not exactly like) this Christian Louboutin Leopard Pump for $795 at Neiman Marcus.

Here’s another leopard option
Charles by Charles David Spark for $80 at Zappos.
So, I suppose we must say goodbye to the Atlanta housewives (for now), but bring on the ladies of the OC!

G by Guess takes an additional 50% off sale items right now, which includes their assortment of sale shoes. The discount is already reflected in the product price shown and it doesn’t apply to every pair, but there are quite a few shoes priced at under $25 after the discount - and they’re cute too! For example, the G by Guess Nolina (pictured), the G by Guess Jazee sandal and the G by Guess Tully are each $22. Or, get the G by Guess Shaw for $29.50. Plus, there are some other cute little summer sandals, like the G by Guess Zoey for $12.50, that may have to be put away til next year, but the low, low price makes it so worth it. Sale ends 10/12/09.
Update: This sale is now expired. See the latest cute cheap shoes we’ve found.

Want to add an always-sexy lace pump to your wardrobe? You may covet this Manolo Blahnik lace and satin pair, but if you need something far less than their $695 price tag, try the Guess Carrielee pump instead.
They may as well be sister shoes, but at $99 for the Guess pair, you’ll rack up almost $600 in savings. Another lace heel that I’m really loving is the Guess Chief in black multi satin. This pair is priced at $110 and it also comes in leopard or purple.

Fall and plaid have always been a classic pair, but it seems especially so this year. We’ve seen a bit of a resurgence of the ever-popular print lately, perhaps in a nod to the 90’s grunge trend - except much more polished and chic. Plaid has definitely moved well beyond it’s own stereotypes (think: lumberjacks, school girls in uniforms, constructions workers, golfers etc.) and has found it’s way into much more fashionable territory - fitted blazers, cute button-downs and, of course, shoes. Here are a few of my favorite plaid pairs:
N.Y.L.A. Mariah Platform Plaid Bootie for $89.95 at DSW. Members get $10 off $49 with coupon code EXP10 (exp. 9/27) and free shipping on $35 using coupon code FALLSHP at checkout. Membership is free.
Carlos by Carlos Santana Privilege Pump for $110 at Shoes.com. Get 20% off using coupon code BML2009 during checking, dropping them to $88 with free shipping.
Betsey Johnson Cade plaid mary jane for $140 at Zappos, discounted from $175. Shipping is free. Update: They are now marked down to $110, but almost sold out. You can also find them at Lord & Taylor for $112.49.
Betsey Johnson Leopold plaid pump for $94.99 at ShoeSteal, the clearance site for Shoes.com. Get an extra 20% off using coupon code STEALTOPS at checkout, making them $75.99. Sizes are limited.

Jones New York Proven plaid pump for $54.95 at DSW. Members can apply the same coupon codes listed above (on the N.Y.L.A. pair) to get $10 off and free shipping, which would make the total $44.95.
Style & Co Wilma mary jane plaid pump on sale for $54.99 at Macys, reduced from $69. Get another 20% off with coupon code WEEKEND at checkout, making them $43.99. Coupon expires 9/20/09.

Guess Teach plaid pump for $110 at Guess.com
Diba Haig 93816 plaid bootie for $49.95 at DSW. Members get $10 off and free shipping using the codes listed above, making your total $39.95.

Labor Day is upon us, which means we officially say goodbye to summer (tear), we have a 3-day weekend (cheer!) and great sales are everywhere (double cheer!!). Of course, the sales include plenty of shoes as retailers unload their remaining summer sandals, but there’s also some fall-ready styles to be had at great prices. Here are some of the sales I’ve been scoping out:

Kenneth Cole takes an extra 50% off the lowest price on a select assortment of sale shoes. You’ll see the discount after adding the item to your cart and shipping adds about $9. Sizes and quantities are very limited, so choose your size in the left sidebar to narrow your options down. The sale ends 9/8/09 or while supplies last.

Get 20% off sale shoes at Shoes.com when you use coupon code SALE20 at checkout. There are plenty of styles to choose from, like this Naturalizer Scurry tall boot with 2 inch heel, which could certainly be a wardrobe staple item this fall. It’s on sale for $72.60, but get it for $58.08 with free shipping after coupon. Several brand exclusions apply and the code expires 9/8/09. For regularly-priced shoes, get 15% off using coupon code 15OFF during checkout.
Get 20% off any Shoebuy purchase with their SPECIAL coupon code, which applies to regular or sale items. I’m liking these adorable Saucony Jazz Sneakers in lavender and purple, on sale for $49.95. After the coupon code, they total $39.96 with free shipping and 8 color options are available. The expiration date isn’t listed, but it likely ends today or tomorrow.
Shoemall is having a BOGO sale, where you buy 1 pair of shoes and get 30% off the second pair. Use coupon code BOGO30 to get the discount, which applies to the lowest-priced item in your cart. I think I’d have to pick this amazing Naughty Monkey Fine and Dandy Pump for $94.95 and add the work-or-play appropriate Not Rated Sister Sister Pump in chocolate for $34.97 after code. Sale items are included and shipping is free. Code expires 9/7/09.
Famous Footwear is having an even better BOGO sale. You can buy 1 pair and get 50% off your second, plus get an extra 20% off your entire order with coupon code BTS20 and free shipping. Again, you can get the discount on regular or sale items, like this super-cute and studded Madden Girl Syria in grey, which is on sale for $54.99. Add another pair, like this $49.99 Madden Girl Betsiie in purple and you’ll get both pairs for $63.99 shipped after coupon. Expires 9/12/09.
Guess.com takes an additional 40% off sale items at checkout, including these sale shoes. No code is required and sizes/quantities are limited. There’s still a fairly wide selection of sizes for this hot Guess Digital heel in red, which is discounted from $80.99 to $48.59 at checkout with $7.95 shipping. Also of note is the Guess Innocent sandal in neon pink for $59.39, discounted from the sale price of $98.99. Sale ends 9/7/09.
Finally, 6pm has an assortment of Indigo by Clarks shoes for $21.95 and Gretta shoes for $19.95 and Steve Madden takes up to 60% off + free shipping in their Labor Day Sale.
Happy Labor Day!

Lucky for us, spring shoe sales often pop up as fast as spring flowers, but they can also wilt just as quickly. That’s why we’re going to do a rundown of all the current shoe sales, so you can pick your savings before they run out. Here’s the lowdown:
Guess.com: Get a cool 50% off all of their hot sale shoes using coupon code EXTRA50 at checkout. I’ve been checking out this woven, huarache-style Guess Laos pair, which is reduced to $45 from $89.99 after coupon. Expires 4/8/09.
DSW: Get an additional 30% off all clearance styles by using their SPRING30 coupon code. There are plenty of options to choose from, but one notable one is this Max Studio Xian Reptile Sandal, a DSW online exclusive that’s $69.96 after discount. If you’re a Rewards Member, apply code FSDSW to get free shipping on orders $29 or more. Expires 4/13/09.
Macys: During their latest One Day Sale, you can get 40-60% off your purchase, including shoes. Their regularly-priced shoes are all on sale, but get extra good savings on clearance shoes, which are reduced an additional 25%. You can try out something ultra-dramatic with this Nine West Bolero gladiator sandal, which is $51.97 (originally $99). Expires 4/8/09.
6pm: Their latest super sale is applied to a selection of Nine West shoes, which are reduced to $14.95. That’s up to 80% off these pairs and there are currently about 65 to choose from. They also offer Bouquets shoes for $12.95 this week.
Saks: Get a $100 gift card with any $500 shoe purchase by applying coupon code SHOE9 at checkout. Some brands are excluded. Expires 4/12/09.
Gap Inc. Brands: Save 30% on new arrivals at Gap, Banana Republic or Old Navy when you use their NEW30 coupon code until 4/9/09. Plus, you can save at Piperlime too. Coupon code SAVE will yield 10% off $125 and 15% off $175 until 5/3/09. Shipping is free on orders $150 or more from any of the stores, but Piperlime orders always ship free.
That’s all for now. Happy shoe shopping!

I’ve been workin’ the math on the shoe discounts at Bloomingdales during their Buy More, Save More Sale and I’ve concluded that there’s definitely some serious savings to be had here. During this sale, you can get 20% off any order, which is pretty good, but you can also get 30% off $300 and 40% off $500 or more. This can really add up to some huge price reductions, like on this L.A.M.B. Flavia pair (which I’ve pretty much decided I need in my life). You can get it for $297.50 instead of $425 after the 30% discount, but it gets a lot more fun if you add another item, like this $77 Guess Ventura pump, to the mix. That way, you get the 40% discount and both pairs for $301.20, which is only $3.70 more than the L.A.M.B. pair by itself. I must say, a little math is always fun when it comes to shoes and saving money. Do the numbers on your favorite pairs before the sale ends on 4/2/09.
