My site was down for most of yesterday due to hosting technical issues - always a fun thing, let me tell you. Luckily, all seems to be corrected and I, for one, am ready to talk shoe sales. It’s January, a month that never experiences a shortage of discounts, so let’s take a look at some of the sales we’re seeing so far:

Buy more and save more at Macy’s during their Add It Up sale. Their selection of women’s shoes are already reduced by up to 65% off and you get an additional $5 off $25, $10 off $50, $15 off $75 or $20 off $100 at checkout. The moto-inspired Rebels Bell Boot is on sale for $31.60 (originally $79), but drops to $26.60 at checkout. Sale expires 1/7/10.

Today only at 6pm, get Faryl Robin shoes on sale for 75% off with prices from $23.75. The Faryl Robin Tall Boy boot in blu violet or bronze is marked down from a retail price of $228 to $57. Also at 6pm, get Miss Sixty shoes on sale for 60% off and Cole Haan shoes for 60% off until 1/10/10.

At Guess.com, get an extra 50% off sale shoes at checkout until 1/7/09. Sizes are limited for many styles, but there are still several options left for the Guess Pettis, which is $51.50 after discount.

Shoemall is having an End of Season Blowout shoe sale, which takes up to 65% off, and coupon code 15AMAZON takes another 15% off. One good deal is for the Naughty Monkey Risky Business pump, which is on sale for $41.99 (regularly $84.95). After coupon, you can get them for $35.69 with free shipping.

Shoes.com still takes an additional 20% off sale shoes with coupon code WINTER. I’m not sure when that code expires, but you can use it on the $73.60 Betseyville Larina in black or pink. After coupon, get them for $58.88 with free shipping. Or, head over to Shoesteal, the clearance site for Shoes.com, to get up to 75% off and an extra 20% discount with coupon code BUBBLY20 until 1/10/10.
Happy shoe shopping!

Macy’s is having their latest One Day Sale (ok, it’s actually 2 days), which means most items sitewide are up to 60% off and they’ve also taken an additional 25% off clearance, including clearance shoes. One of my fave shoes of the moment happens to be on sale for a great price. The Guess Chief platform heel in leopard or lace is normally $110, but it’s on clearance for $76.99. After the extra 25% off, you can get it for $56.99, which is a lot less expensive than the prices I’ve seen elsewhere. There are plenty of other discounted shoes to check out before the sale ends on 12/9/09.

I got an email from Heather, who needs help locating a pair of shoes she spotted while attending the So You Think You Can Dance live show in Omaha. It was a pair worn by Randi, seen here dancing in the show, one shoe on and one shoe off (click to see larger size):

Great pics, Heather! I didn’t get the scoop on why she had only one shoe on, but I imagine it probably fell off during the dance. Show must go on, right? Her shoes appear to be a python or snakeskin print with a black heel, super-high platform and red sole. Of course, the red sole usually indicates Christian Louboutin, but I don’t see anything currently on the market that looks exactly like this. Here are some Christian Louboutin python heels that are available:

Christian Louboutin Rolando for $1,195 at Barney’s

Christian Louboutin Python Feticha for $1,170 at Barney’s

Christian Louboutin Python Pump for $1,335 at Saks Fifth Avenue
If the shoes are Louboutin, I think they could be from a previous collection that’s now sold out. Like this pair I saw on Ebay with a black heel (the auction has now ended, but you can scroll down to see the listing):

Of course, a red sole does not always mean it’s Louboutin, so I also looked for this shoe under a wide range of other brands. I did not end up finding the exact shoe, but I did find several look-alike styles:

Seychelles Barn Dance at Karmaloop for $65. Coupon code SEARCH7 (exp. unknown) gives free shipping at checkout. Also available at Endless for $89.95 with free overnight shipping.

Guess by Marciano Barrie for $147.95 with free overnight shipping at Endless. In addition, another $25 is taken off at checkout (exp. unknown).

Here’s a brand known to use red soles and this particular one looks quite similar to the Louboutin Ebay pair pictured above. The Oh Deer! Rinna is $76.99 at ShoeSteal (get an extra 25% off with code FALL25 until 11/16/09) or $131.99 at Heels.com or $131 at Shoesale.com, but sizes are limited at each.

Penny Loves Kenny Grace for $79.95 at DSW. Members get free shipping on $35 with coupon code SNOWMAN until 1/4/10.

Guess Buckle Detail Python Stilettos for $265 at FarFetch.com. Update: Here’s the similar Guess Kudrow available at Macy’s for $74.99.

Stuart Weitzman Platvogue for $187 with free shipping at Zappos. Another option with a black heel and platform is the Stuart Weitzman Salvo for $178.

Steve Madden Graace for $99.95 at Steve Madden. Get free shipping with coupon code SMFREESHIP or spend $100 or more to get 15% off and free shipping with coupon code SMSAVE15 until 11/19/09.

The Miss Me Jocelyn 1 has the super-high platform, but unfortunately it’s only available in a size 9 at Amazon for $46.74 or Endless for $45.33, although you never know if it might be re-released. Another option from this brand is the Miss Me Joanne 4 at DSW for $29.95.

Update: Here’s a new arrival at Nordstrom with a similar look, the Via Spiga Mindy for $215.

Update 2: Love this option, the Pelle Moda Wren for $192 at Shopbop.com.
If anyone recognizes the exact pair Randi is wearing here, leave a comment and help fellow shoe sister Heather out!

The ladies of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta had part 2 of their reunion special this week, officially ending their second season. The reunions usually make for pretty good TV, but this one seemed surprisingly low-key compared to last year. The housewives spent much of the time downplaying the drama and there were plenty of non-answers and “next” responses to host Andy’s questions (not to mention quite a few eye rolls). Maybe they were just trying to tone it down, but Purse Blog reports that there may have been a dispute with Bravo over a possible syndication deal for the show (and their lack of extra compensation for it), so they may have held things back intentionally. Ok ladies, I get it - you want to get paid. But don’t forget the viewers here. We need answers!

But, I can’t say it was all bad. We got a rousing rendition of Tardy for the Party performed live by Kim, which was quite entertaining. Host Andy looked like he was genuinely enjoying it, but some of the other housewives looked amused and laughed during the performance. Then they all played nice when asked their opinion on it afterward. C’mon, where is Simon Cowell when you really need him? I’d like to hear what he has to say.

I must say, I always find Dwight entertaining. He’s all about keeping it real.

Kandi’s performance of Fly Above was definitely a high point. I’ve enjoyed her being on the show this season and she’s obviously very talented and cool. She also has great style, which leads me to the shoes (oh yes, the shoes).
The cameras zoomed in on the housewive’s shoes during the show and it looks like most of the cast is rocking Christian Louboutin. The biggest standout?

The hottest pair was Kandi’s glitter Christian Louboutin Bridget Strass, listed on the official Christian Louboutin website under Total Madness. Yep, Kandi definitely knows how to bring it on down in the shoe department.
The glitter version doesn’t appear to be for sale anywhere right now, but you can get this similar Christian Louboutin Lace Bootie in black at Bergdorf Goodman for $1,785 or the leopard version for $1,795 at Barneys.
Of course, this is an insanely high price and I haven’t seen anything that remotely resembles the Bridget Strass, but here are two pairs that have a lacey, feminine appeal for much less:

Left: Newport News lace bootie for $49 at Newport News Right: Bebe Bella Lace Sandal for $149 at Bebe
Update: Check out the Christian Louboutin Bridget lookalike shoe that I found for much less.
Kim wears the Christian Louboutin Contente Over The Knee Boot. Actually, I don’t know this with complete certainty because there are lots of OTK boots out there and I didn’t get a good look at the heel or sole, but Kim does have a thing for Louboutins, so it makes sense.

Here’s a more cost-conscious over the knee boot:

Colin Stuart Over The Knee Boot for $189 at Victoria’s Secret. Coupon code FALL09 takes $30 off, making them $159, until 11/18/09. Other options include the Chinese Laundry Kingdom for $99 and the Nine West Iunia for $139.
NeNe wears a pair that looks similar to this Christian Louboutin Bouquet, which is $1,025 at Bergdorf Goodman (her pair was a closed-toe style).

Here’s a more affordable floral lace option:
Guess Carrielee in black multi satin for $99 at Guess or the Guess Chief in black for $109.95.
Sheree wears the Christian Louboutin Tashaf in metallic blue and silver. It’s $955 at Bergdorf Goodman.

Want something shiny and blue for less? Try this:

Nine West Panout for $79 at Nine West. Or, there’s the Nine West Gouda in blue for $59.99 with an extra 30% off at checkout until 11/30/09. Update: Here’s a metallic blue heel option, the Metallic Diamond Toe shoe at Wet Seal for $24.50.
Lisa wears a leopard-print heel and I’m not sure if it’s Christian Louboutin. If so, it would be something similar to (but not exactly like) this Christian Louboutin Leopard Pump for $795 at Neiman Marcus.

Here’s another leopard option
Charles by Charles David Spark for $80 at Zappos.
So, I suppose we must say goodbye to the Atlanta housewives (for now), but bring on the ladies of the OC!

G by Guess takes an additional 50% off sale items right now, which includes their assortment of sale shoes. The discount is already reflected in the product price shown and it doesn’t apply to every pair, but there are quite a few shoes priced at under $25 after the discount - and they’re cute too! For example, the G by Guess Nolina (pictured), the G by Guess Jazee sandal and the G by Guess Tully are each $22. Or, get the G by Guess Shaw for $29.50. Plus, there are some other cute little summer sandals, like the G by Guess Zoey for $12.50, that may have to be put away til next year, but the low, low price makes it so worth it. Sale ends 10/12/09.
Update: This sale is now expired. See the latest cute cheap shoes we’ve found.

Want to add an always-sexy lace pump to your wardrobe? You may covet this Manolo Blahnik lace and satin pair, but if you need something far less than their $695 price tag, try the Guess Carrielee pump instead.
They may as well be sister shoes, but at $99 for the Guess pair, you’ll rack up almost $600 in savings. Another lace heel that I’m really loving is the Guess Chief in black multi satin. This pair is priced at $110 and it also comes in leopard or purple.

Fall and plaid have always been a classic pair, but it seems especially so this year. We’ve seen a bit of a resurgence of the ever-popular print lately, perhaps in a nod to the 90’s grunge trend - except much more polished and chic. Plaid has definitely moved well beyond it’s own stereotypes (think: lumberjacks, school girls in uniforms, constructions workers, golfers etc.) and has found it’s way into much more fashionable territory - fitted blazers, cute button-downs and, of course, shoes. Here are a few of my favorite plaid pairs:
N.Y.L.A. Mariah Platform Plaid Bootie for $89.95 at DSW. Members get $10 off $49 with coupon code EXP10 (exp. 9/27) and free shipping on $35 using coupon code FALLSHP at checkout. Membership is free.
Carlos by Carlos Santana Privilege Pump for $110 at Shoes.com. Get 20% off using coupon code BML2009 during checking, dropping them to $88 with free shipping.
Betsey Johnson Cade plaid mary jane for $140 at Zappos, discounted from $175. Shipping is free. Update: They are now marked down to $110, but almost sold out. You can also find them at Lord & Taylor for $112.49.
Betsey Johnson Leopold plaid pump for $94.99 at ShoeSteal, the clearance site for Shoes.com. Get an extra 20% off using coupon code STEALTOPS at checkout, making them $75.99. Sizes are limited.

Jones New York Proven plaid pump for $54.95 at DSW. Members can apply the same coupon codes listed above (on the N.Y.L.A. pair) to get $10 off and free shipping, which would make the total $44.95.
Style & Co Wilma mary jane plaid pump on sale for $54.99 at Macys, reduced from $69. Get another 20% off with coupon code WEEKEND at checkout, making them $43.99. Coupon expires 9/20/09.

Guess Teach plaid pump for $110 at Guess.com
Diba Haig 93816 plaid bootie for $49.95 at DSW. Members get $10 off and free shipping using the codes listed above, making your total $39.95.

Labor Day is upon us, which means we officially say goodbye to summer (tear), we have a 3-day weekend (cheer!) and great sales are everywhere (double cheer!!). Of course, the sales include plenty of shoes as retailers unload their remaining summer sandals, but there’s also some fall-ready styles to be had at great prices. Here are some of the sales I’ve been scoping out:

Kenneth Cole takes an extra 50% off the lowest price on a select assortment of sale shoes. You’ll see the discount after adding the item to your cart and shipping adds about $9. Sizes and quantities are very limited, so choose your size in the left sidebar to narrow your options down. The sale ends 9/8/09 or while supplies last.

Get 20% off sale shoes at Shoes.com when you use coupon code SALE20 at checkout. There are plenty of styles to choose from, like this Naturalizer Scurry tall boot with 2 inch heel, which could certainly be a wardrobe staple item this fall. It’s on sale for $72.60, but get it for $58.08 with free shipping after coupon. Several brand exclusions apply and the code expires 9/8/09. For regularly-priced shoes, get 15% off using coupon code 15OFF during checkout.
Get 20% off any Shoebuy purchase with their SPECIAL coupon code, which applies to regular or sale items. I’m liking these adorable Saucony Jazz Sneakers in lavender and purple, on sale for $49.95. After the coupon code, they total $39.96 with free shipping and 8 color options are available. The expiration date isn’t listed, but it likely ends today or tomorrow.
Shoemall is having a BOGO sale, where you buy 1 pair of shoes and get 30% off the second pair. Use coupon code BOGO30 to get the discount, which applies to the lowest-priced item in your cart. I think I’d have to pick this amazing Naughty Monkey Fine and Dandy Pump for $94.95 and add the work-or-play appropriate Not Rated Sister Sister Pump in chocolate for $34.97 after code. Sale items are included and shipping is free. Code expires 9/7/09.
Famous Footwear is having an even better BOGO sale. You can buy 1 pair and get 50% off your second, plus get an extra 20% off your entire order with coupon code BTS20 and free shipping. Again, you can get the discount on regular or sale items, like this super-cute and studded Madden Girl Syria in grey, which is on sale for $54.99. Add another pair, like this $49.99 Madden Girl Betsiie in purple and you’ll get both pairs for $63.99 shipped after coupon. Expires 9/12/09.
Guess.com takes an additional 40% off sale items at checkout, including these sale shoes. No code is required and sizes/quantities are limited. There’s still a fairly wide selection of sizes for this hot Guess Digital heel in red, which is discounted from $80.99 to $48.59 at checkout with $7.95 shipping. Also of note is the Guess Innocent sandal in neon pink for $59.39, discounted from the sale price of $98.99. Sale ends 9/7/09.
Finally, 6pm has an assortment of Indigo by Clarks shoes for $21.95 and Gretta shoes for $19.95 and Steve Madden takes up to 60% off + free shipping in their Labor Day Sale.
Happy Labor Day!

Lucky for us, spring shoe sales often pop up as fast as spring flowers, but they can also wilt just as quickly. That’s why we’re going to do a rundown of all the current shoe sales, so you can pick your savings before they run out. Here’s the lowdown:
Guess.com: Get a cool 50% off all of their hot sale shoes using coupon code EXTRA50 at checkout. I’ve been checking out this woven, huarache-style Guess Laos pair, which is reduced to $45 from $89.99 after coupon. Expires 4/8/09.
DSW: Get an additional 30% off all clearance styles by using their SPRING30 coupon code. There are plenty of options to choose from, but one notable one is this Max Studio Xian Reptile Sandal, a DSW online exclusive that’s $69.96 after discount. If you’re a Rewards Member, apply code FSDSW to get free shipping on orders $29 or more. Expires 4/13/09.
Macys: During their latest One Day Sale, you can get 40-60% off your purchase, including shoes. Their regularly-priced shoes are all on sale, but get extra good savings on clearance shoes, which are reduced an additional 25%. You can try out something ultra-dramatic with this Nine West Bolero gladiator sandal, which is $51.97 (originally $99). Expires 4/8/09.
6pm: Their latest super sale is applied to a selection of Nine West shoes, which are reduced to $14.95. That’s up to 80% off these pairs and there are currently about 65 to choose from. They also offer Bouquets shoes for $12.95 this week.
Saks: Get a $100 gift card with any $500 shoe purchase by applying coupon code SHOE9 at checkout. Some brands are excluded. Expires 4/12/09.
Gap Inc. Brands: Save 30% on new arrivals at Gap, Banana Republic or Old Navy when you use their NEW30 coupon code until 4/9/09. Plus, you can save at Piperlime too. Coupon code SAVE will yield 10% off $125 and 15% off $175 until 5/3/09. Shipping is free on orders $150 or more from any of the stores, but Piperlime orders always ship free.
That’s all for now. Happy shoe shopping!

I’ve been workin’ the math on the shoe discounts at Bloomingdales during their Buy More, Save More Sale and I’ve concluded that there’s definitely some serious savings to be had here. During this sale, you can get 20% off any order, which is pretty good, but you can also get 30% off $300 and 40% off $500 or more. This can really add up to some huge price reductions, like on this L.A.M.B. Flavia pair (which I’ve pretty much decided I need in my life). You can get it for $297.50 instead of $425 after the 30% discount, but it gets a lot more fun if you add another item, like this $77 Guess Ventura pump, to the mix. That way, you get the 40% discount and both pairs for $301.20, which is only $3.70 more than the L.A.M.B. pair by itself. I must say, a little math is always fun when it comes to shoes and saving money. Do the numbers on your favorite pairs before the sale ends on 4/2/09.

Fergie created some buzz recently at the 34th Annual March of Dimes Beauty Ball with her newly dark hair and her super-bright neon orange and black Jimmy Choo Loop sandals. The look is certainly edgy and totally rock ‘n’ roll, so it begs the question: Is neon emerging as a trend once again this year? People Style Watch says yes - they list neon as one of the top spring trends in their March 2009 edition. Even so, some people may shy away from neon because of its potential to go terribly wrong (like those squint-inducing 80’s get-ups), but the look can also be oh-so-right (like this hot style from Mary-Kate Olsen last year). The trick to wearing neon, as you’ve probably heard before, is to keep it minimal and pair it with neutrals to avoid color overkill. Think black, white and tan with a pop of bright neon for maximum impact. If you’re ready to work this trend, here are some hot-hued styles to try:

Left to right: Guess Innocent for $109.95 at Zappos, Davis by Ruthie Davis Pixel for $235.48 at Amazon, Luichiny Que for $112 at Shoes.com after 20% off ENTSHOES09 coupon code, Farylrobin Poppy Platform for $229.95 at Endless, Rocket Dog Neon Sandal for $29.50 at Delias after $10 off DXCGIFT coupon code (exp. 3/31), Wet Seal Patent Buckle Sandal for $12.50 at Wet Seal, Guess Carrie for $73.60 at Shoes.com after ENTSHOES09 coupon code or at Guess.com for $90 (additional sizes in yellow) or at Heels.com for $84.99, DV by Dolce Vita Damsel for $66.95 at Amazon
In related shoe news, Fergie was spotted wearing one of her own styles, the Fergie Pepper Platform Sandal, at a Nordstrom event to promote her shoe line. This is a hot style that you can find at Nordstrom, but also at Shoes.com for a better price. They have it for $129, but it’s reduced to $103.20 after using coupon code ENTSHOES09 at checkout. Shipping is free and other color options include purple and brown.

Nothing says spring like floral shoes and, although flower-adorned pairs have always been around, it seems particularly on-trend this year. We’re seeing a wide array of blooms showing up in footwear with styles that range from sweet and demure to bold and daring, but one thing is certain - all are decidedly feminine. After all, we don’t normally see men running around with rose embellished loafers or daisys on their oxfords, right? So, fully embrace your girly side this spring with these freshly blooming pairs, which I picked out just for you:
Let’s start with this stand-out style, the Bettye Muler Lola wedge, which has a bright fuschia super-bloom over the toe. If you live by the mantra of go big or go home, this is the pair for you. Endless has it for $364.95 with free overnight shipping, which is quite a splurge but perfect for embracing this trend to the max.
This is the kind of heel you slip on to feel amazing and the lifelike red patent leather rose is the perfect adornment. The Via Spiga Monique just might be your go-to sexy shoe for those upcoming hot summer nights and you can get it at Amazon for $197.20 with $20 off using coupon code AMZSHOES at checkout. It’s also available in black/natural for the same price or green/fuschia for $198.95 . Shipping is free.
You can definitely rock this trend in a totally glam way - even without the heel - in this Daniblack Mimosa satin flat. Get this super-fresh style at the Daniblack website for $87.50, which is 30% off retail. It comes in your choice of green/blue, red/purple, black or red.

Flaunt your flower power in this Seychelles Reservations For Two satin pump in teal or black. You have to love the combination of peep toe and flower at the front and the overall style of the shoe, which is versatile enough for work or play. Get it at Zappos for $94 with free shipping. Update: The teal pair is sold out, but a taupe version is available for $84.60.
Poetic Licence shoes are often adorned in florals and this sandal is a great example. The Poetic Licence Mint Julep can add that perfect air of femininity to your spring and summer looks, but with a go-anywhere casual style. Get it at Planet Shoes in pink, yellow, silver or green leopard print for $79 with free shipping. Save an additional 20% until 3/18/09 with coupon code LUCKY20 (making it $63.20) or, if expired, use coupon code SURVEY20 for 12% off (exp. unknown). Update: The price has increased to $84.
Here’s another casual floral pair, but this one has a more natural, earthy vibe. The Penny Loves Kenny Attar sandal is adorned in a variety of pretty blooms that look more like wild blossoms than perfectly sculpted flowers, which is great for a more laid-back look. Add this style to your shoe collection in brown or metallic for $39.95 from DSW. Get free shipping with coupon code FSDSW after logging in to your DSW account.
Other floral shoes of note:

Left to right: B.O.C. Savina for $49.99 at DSW (free shipping coupon listed above), XOXO Rosebud for $32.80 with free shipping after applying 20% off coupon code ENTSHOES09 at Shoes.com, Guess Arivica for $39.99 at Guess.com, Born Hibiscus for $119 with 10% off with coupon code THANKYOU at Shoeline, Merona Edie for $22.99 at Target

This Guess Innocent Sandal in natural with a neon pink sole is a seriously hot style and I’ve been keeping my eye out for a sale at Guess.com that would discount their $110 price tag. Although I’ve seen it sold at other stores in different colors, it seemed no one else had the pink pair. Then I spotted them at Smartbargains for $59.99, which is a nice discount of almost 50%. If you aren’t loving the hot pink, they also have them in gold. The expiration on this sale price is unknown.
