It’s Monday, so let’s get a little wild today courtesy of Jeffrey Campbell. The brand never disappoints when it comes to outrageous shoe styles and, once I spotted the Jeffrey Campbell Jumper at Lori’s Shoes, I had to discuss JC’s latest archless creation here. Like the Jeffrey Campbell Benched I mentioned before, the Jumper has a large cutout in the middle of the footbed, where the arch of your foot lies. I’ve managed to wrap my head around the idea that the arch of your foot won’t know what’s missing when the shoe is constructed in a certain way, but wowza these babies are tall. The heel measures 6.25″ and the platform is 2.5″, which is plenty of height to make one feel high and mighty when wearing them, but the net effect on the foot is under 4″, which isn’t too bad. Then there’s the long t-strap, the orange leather, the wide ankle strap…it’s quite the statement shoe. Impress your friends who don’t know by telling them the shoe causes your arch to magically levitate, David Blaine style. Then, really impress your friends by actually jumping in the Jumper. That would be something.

You can find this style at Lori’s Shoes for $184.

I’m so excited because my birthday is this week and I definitely had something super-pink and totally spiky in mind as the perfect b-day gift. I’ve been drooling over the Sam Edelman Lorissa for what seems like forever and, although this is a style that has been available in many color and pattern options, it was the hot pink pair that really won my heart. Of course, my sweet hubby always knows exactly what I want (after I dropped a few not-so-subtle hints, that is), so now these bad babies are in my hands — and I am thrilled!

The pictures of this shoe really don’t do the color justice. The pink is super-rich and vibrant and the suede is oh-so-soft. Then there’s the pewter rhinestones and spikes on the back that really set it off and totally up the glam factor:

I am sooo loving these. I also find that they feel pretty comfortable, at least so far. I haven’t had a chance to wear them out yet, which is the true test, but some shoes can be uncomfortable right when you try them on. I don’t imagine that these will be the shoes I wear when any serious walking is involved, but they feel pretty good for being as high as they are and they don’t strike me as being particularly heavy, which I’ve seen some reviews say. All in all, this is one of my top shoe purchases to date!

I also had to mention this: My 5-year old daughter, who is a huge Mario Brothers fan, declared these “Bowser shoes” when she first saw them. And, you know, she might just have a point:

Yes, I can totally see where she’s coming from.
You can find the pink Sam Edelman Lorissa on discount at Karmaloop, where the price is $200 and you can apply coupon code SAVE20 for 20% off and free shipping (exp. unknown, one time use per account). Shoes.com also has them for $225 and coupon code SHOESAVINGS will take $50 off $200 (exp. unknown). If you’re interested in other color options for even less, check out 6pm for black leather, white or denim for $139.97.
Whatever…stomping fools is my business! - Bowser
Update: I’ve had a couple questions about how these shoes feel when worn out. I finally had the chance to do just that and I can’t call them comfortable by any means, but they felt much like many of my 4+ heels do after even moderate walking (which for me means I’m pretty much ready to get them off). They don’t have a very high platform (only 1/2 inch) and I could feel a little more pressure on the lower area of my foot without that extra height in the front to help compensate for the height of the heel. As far as the heavy back end of the heel goes, I did notice that the back of my foot would occasionally raise up just slightly while walking, but my foot never came completely out of the shoe and it only happened a couple of times. I went half a size up, but probably could have gone with my true size. I also haven’t had any problems with the studs and rhinestones falling off so far - they seem quite secure. That being said, I love them and I definitely had fun wearing them.

We’ve seen plenty of bold and bright colors take center stage this season and, as the weather heats up, we’re seeing more and more neon shades that take the trend up a notch. That’s why I’m loving the fresh color of the Senso Agnes wedge (above), which is available in “Fleuro”, a neon green hue that definitely isn’t seen very often when it comes to shoes. This super-bright shade is guaranteed to stand out and I also like the cool little cutouts, which form an indentation along both ends of the heel. More than just a mere pop of color, this pair is like…boom. There’s also a turquoise version available:

Get these shoes at Solestruck for $174.95 and, if you’re a fan of the brand, be sure and check out all of the new Senso shoes they just got in. Another fave of mine is the navy and gold version of the ever-popular Senso Wilma:

That gorgeous blue leather…sigh.

Update: The pink Senso Agnes is also now available at Solestruck.

Lately I’ve really been crushing on shoes in various shades of light blue. I’ve always loved the lighter side of blue, but these shades haven’t been too terribly common when it comes to footwear. That’s why I’ve been happy to see more and more styles available in gorgeous shades of soft blue that range from pale baby hues to bolder aqua pastels. These are colors that generally have a cool, calming effect when you look at them, much like gazing at a clear sky or tropical ocean might do, and they tend to convey a fresh, clean look. One fine speciman is the Jeffrey Campbell Garett, available at Envishoes for $144.95, which combines aqua suede and a Valentino-esque bow with dark blue and light green accents. This is one of my favorites, but there are definitely more to consider, so let’s it check out:

Aldo Frankenberg sandals with a crisp pop of blue for $110 at Aldo.com.

Rachel Roy Zahira in light blue for $119 at rachelroy.com.

Pour La Victoire Irina in aqua for $179.99 with free 2-day shipping at Endless.

Sole Boutique Mamie for $70 at Karmaloop.

Jeffrey Campbell Shy Town for $148 at Lori’s Shoes.

Jeffrey Campbell Tick in light blue for $180 at Karmaloop.

I’m loving all of the above, but if you really want to make a statement with aqua blue, you mix it with fiery shades of pink and orange à la the Jeffrey Campbell Munroe. With its unabashedly bright color palette and extra-bold styling (love the two-toned platform!), this shoe definitely has the makings of a quintessential fun summer shoe. Find them at Lori’s Shoes for $140 or at Envishoes for $144.95.
Note: To get a discount on Karmaloop orders, use coupon code SAVE20 to get 20% off $100 and free shipping (first time users only) or try ROCKIT for 15% off $75 (expiration unknown). For Aldo orders, use 349147751 to get 10% off (expiration unknown).

The Jeffrey Campbell Tick is one of those styles that’s been reinvented again and again in a variety of color/pattern options and it’s normally known for having a tough, edgy vibe with its army of metallic studs all over the heel. But, make no mistake, the Tick has a soft side too - one that enjoys candlelit dinners, leisurely strolls and intimate conversation. Yes, the Tick has gone all romantic on us, ladies. It’s now available in this lovely shade of sky blue suede with whitewashed tacks for a bit of a shabby chic effect. You can find the light blue Tick at Karmaloop for $180 and they also have pink for the same price:
Coupon code SAVE20 takes 20% off and gives free shipping for first time customers or use ROCKIT for 15% off (expiration unknown). Solestruck also carries the pink version for $174.95 with free shipping. I’m loving the softie side of the Tick, but there’s more to this shoe’s personality, as you’ll see in these additional new versions:

Sometimes the Tick likes to flip the switch and change up its look completely. Here, it goes off the chain by trading in the thumbtacks for a wide band of metal mesh around the ankle. The resulting Jeffrey Campbell Tick Chain is available at Solestruck for $309.95 with free shipping.

Then there are times when the Tick goes totally buckwild and gets into the paint. Naughty little shoe.
The $179.95 Jeffrey Campbell Tick Paint sold out very quickly at Solestruck, but Karmaloop has a similar version: the Jeffrey Campbell Riddle Paint for $194. Update: Karmaloop now also has the Tick Paint in white, black or taupe for $180. This is a non-studded version.
Happy Friday!

I have a lot of people who come to this site looking for blue wedding shoes, plus we had the big royal wedding over the weekend, so I thought today would be a good day to turn the spotlight on some royally blue heels that are perfect for fulfilling the ’something blue’ tradition for brides. The shoes that have caught my attention lately are from the Pour La Victoire Bridal and Evening collection and, oh my, some of their new styles are absolutely gorgeous. One of my favorites is the Pour La Victoire Cristella (above), a stunning blue satin heel with bow detail available at Zappos for $159 with free shipping. If you aren’t looking for blue, you can also get this pair in nude, red or black. Let’s check out the nude version:

Love this one, but let’s check out another option in blue:

This is the Pour La Victoire Blissa and it’s also available in black or nude, each for $179 with free shipping at Zappos.

I may have saved the best for last, though, the Pour La Victoire Giada in ivory with ruffle detail and large rhinestone embellishments. This one doesn’t have the blue upper, obviously, but check out the underside:

The sole is entirely in Tiffany-esque blue and has a “Do” written in crystals across the center (I’m assuming the other shoe says “I”). Too perfect, and you can get it for $159 with free shipping at Zappos. This style also comes in black or red, but these versions do not have the blue “I Do” sole.
For more options, check out all of the Pour La Victoire bridal shoes at Zappos.
Update: Order from Pourlavictoire.com and you can get $50 off your total via coupon code LAUNCH (expiration unknown). Here’s a link to their selection of wedding shoes.

I recently received a request for help finding shoes similar to the Christian Louboutin Balota (the gorgeous shoe you see pictured above) as well as a few requests for wedding shoe ideas, so I figured today would be a good day for a nice little diversion into the land of fancy footwear. I don’t personally have an occasion that would call for wearing these kind of dressy shoes in the near future, but I have to admit I love looking at them anyway (eye candy!). So, whether you need some extra-special shoes for a wedding or another event, or if you just want to window shop like me, here are some pretty little things for your feet:
First we have some sparkly and/or glittery strappy sandals that have a similar look to the $1,095 Louboutin Balota, but are far less expensive:

Steve Madden Aillie glitter sandal in champagne for $79.95 at Steve Madden. Coupon code rmn15f takes 15% off and applies free shipping, making them $67.96 (expiration unknown).

Nine West Elaine in gold for $79 at Nine West. Shipping is also free for a limited time. Note that this shoe is currently on preorder and expected to ship by 5/24/11.

Zigi Soho Gala in beige for $79.95 at DSW. Members get free shipping on $35 with coupon code SHIPR through 8/15/11.

Michael Antonio Thandie in gold for $44.88 with free 2-day shipping from Endless.
Now, let’s talk bridal shoes. There are so many styles for brides to choose from and so many color options to consider (not just white these days), so today I’m going to hone in on one particular brand that has really caught my eye lately - Menbur.

I love so many of their latest shoes and they are tailor-made for gorgeous bridal style, but you certainly don’t have to be getting married to appreciate this brand. One standout is the Menbur Casanova (above), a total princess shoe with its sparkling, rhinestone-encrusted ankle wrap. You can find this style for $220 with free overnight shipping from Endless. Here are some more options from the same brand, each from Endless:

Menbur Ballesio in nude or black for $234 with free overnight shipping.

Menbur Ceylan in grey, black, stone or champagne for $190 with free overnight shipping.

Menbur Bicci in nude, blue, fuchsia or black for $145.90 with free overnight shipping.

Menbur Curran in fuchsia, red, stone or black for $147.90 with free overnight shipping.

Menbur Carmichael in midnight blue (something blue!), black, nude, turquoise and fuchsia for $164 with free overnight shipping.
Check out all of the Menbur styles at Endless for even more options. Note that prices and shipping information are subject to change at any time.
