T.U.K. Platinum shoes on sale at Hot Topic + coupon

Wednesday, December 8th, 2010

Hot Topic is having a sale through the end of today that takes 25% off fashion shoes and boots automatically at checkout.  While they are a store known for offering unique products with an edgy, punk aesthetic, what really caught my eye while browsing their selection of shoes are their extra-spicy T.U.K. Platinum Collection styles.  These shoes definitely make a statement at first glance with their girly-with-attitude designs and unique details (although those who shun super-high, dramatic platforms need not apply), but they also stand out because, according to the description on the shoes, each are handcrafted and ”made with love” out of high end leather.  Normally $95 a pair, each is marked down to $71.20 during the sale.  In addition, you can get 25% off $60 by applying coupon code HTADEC25 at checkout, which makes them $53.44.  The T.U.K. Platinum Red Leaf Platform Heels with black leaf embroidery and lace-up detail on the back (pictured above) are one option from the line and here are the additional options available:

What is it about a cute little heart cutout that always seems to lure me in?  This is the T.U.K. Platinum Black Bow Platform Heel.

Get even wilder with the same shoe in leopard, the T.U.K. Platinum Leopard Print and Black Bow Platform Heel.

Or, ruffle some feathers in the T.U.K. Platinum Black Ruffle Bow Platform Wedge.

Shipping is also free on $50 or more.  The sale ends 12/8/10 and the coupon expires 1/1/11.  If you miss the sale, the coupon will still yield a reduced $71.20 price for each pair.

More or Less: Christian Louboutin Canon & Canonita sheer bootie knockoffs

Saturday, November 13th, 2010

If you love the light and airy concoction known as the Christian Louboutin Canon 140 chiffon bootie, or the similar Christian Louboutin Canonita, you’re definitely not alone.  Multiple celebs have been seen wearing these styles - Jennifer Lopez, Hilary Duff, Lea Michele, Katherine Heigl and Jessica Biel, just to name a few - but all that sheer goodness comes at a high cost.  The Canon 140 is available in black at Barney’s for $1,295 or in nude at Luisaviaroma for $1,095 and the Canonita 140 is available in white at Net-a-Porter for $995.  If you’re looking for a less expensive sheer bootie with ruching detail along the front, these lookalike shoes will provide maximum exposure for the feet, but for a whole lot less:

The black version of the Steve Madden Damsell has a dot pattern in the fabric similar to the Canon 140, making it a closer lookalike, but I’m really liking the contrast found in the distinct black and champagne version:

It also comes in purple and each are available for $109.95 at Steve Madden.  Apply coupon code Rmn15f to get 15% off and free shipping, which makes them $93.46.  The expected ship date is 11/15.

The Chinese Laundry Haylie shootie is available in black or bronze for $89 at Shoes.com.  Coupon code VISA takes 20% off, making them $71.20, and free shipping is included (coupon may require Visa payment).

The Chinese Laundry Haylie in blush (or black) is available at Shoemall for $89.95.  Coupon code VISASHOEMALL takes 20% off until 11/30 (may require Visa payment) or use SPECIAL15 for 15% off (expiration unknown).

For a similar style in red, try the Nine West Exposure for $88.95 with free overnight shipping at Endless.  It also comes in black.

Hope everyone has a fab weekend!

All Jeweled Up: Haus of Price shoes with gem heels

Monday, October 25th, 2010

It’s completely natural to be drawn to sparkly, shiny things and I guess that’s why my eyes went straight to these jewel-toned Haus of Price shoes while browsing the new styles over at Solestruck.  At first glance, I thought the ever-evolving Jeffrey Campbell Tick had gone technicolor on us - the overall look is actually quite similar - but this is the Haus of Price Solid Goddess in red, green or blue and the detail on the heel is the result of gems rather than tacks.  With the holidays coming up, I’m thinking these might be the perfect way to spice up a LBD or even add some bling to a pair of jeans.  Each are priced at $239.95 at Solestruck and, if you love them, but can’t decide on just one color, you’re sure to go crazy for the multicolored styles from the same brand:

Haus of Price Multi Gem Arch Heel for $239.95.

Haus of Price Multi Gem Pump for $239.95 (Only 1 size left right now.  Sigh.  Tear.).

I think I’ll take them all, but if I can’t cough up $240 for just one before they all sell out, I suppose I’ll have to learn to wield a BeDazzler on an unsuspecting pair of pumps.  That should be interesting.

Order any of these shoes at Solestruck and you’ll also get free shipping on your order.

Update: Karmaloop now has the Haus of Price Goddess in green for $230 and coupon code SAVE20 takes 20% off and gives free shipping, which drops the price to $184.  They also have this style:

The Haus of Price Pearly White Booties, which are $230 before coupon and $184 after.

Update 2: Here’s another Haus of Price style, now in cage form.  This is the Haus of Price Cage Wedge in multi gem and it’s available for $228 at Karmaloop.

Shoe Love: Steve Madden Caryssa red high heels

Friday, October 22nd, 2010

There’s nothing quite like a hot red heel to help kick off the weekend…

Hope you have a good one!

Star Designer: Rachel Rachel Roy shoes

Monday, September 27th, 2010

Rachel Roy is known for the modern, sophisticated and feminine designs found in her high-end Rachel Roy New York line, which has been worn by Michelle Obama, Penelope Cruz, Eva Mendes, Kate Hudson and other notable celebs.  Her diffusion line Rachel Rachel Roy, launched in 2009, takes that same fashion aesthetic and makes it much more accessible and affordable.  I’ve been checking out several new fall styles from the Rachel Roy shoe collection and I’m finding that the unique details on the shoes have made them really stand out for me.  For instance, the Rachel Rachel Roy Kimi pictured below could be dismissed as just another glitter pump, but then you have to get a look at the back:

Take a sparkly shoe and add a geometric, pyramid studded heel and you definitely have something much more distinct.  This pair is priced at $99 and ships by 11/19.

Here are some more styles on my radar:

The Rachel Rachel Roy Keena has a girly, retro glam look, thanks to the floral cluster detail on the side of each shoe.  This style is priced at $150.

If you want to apply the current military trend for fall using shoes, the Rachel Rachel Roy Wava in dark green multi leather (top left) is a great way to do it.  I also love how this same boot changes personalities with the other color options available.  The black mesh version has a rocker-biker chick vibe, while the plaid version is more funky and cool.  Each are priced at $159 and will ship by 10/12.

The Rachel Rachel Roy Kaytee is another shoe that will have you making a statement - while walking away - with its lace-up, corset-like back.  It’s $99 in red, dark taupe or black and they appear to be on backorder at the Rachel Roy site until 12/10, but are also available at Macys and Shoe Woo.

I’m a fan of chain detail, which can be found along the edges of the Rachel Rachel Roy Willie ankle boot, adding a nice dose of edge.  It’s available for $179 in black leather and ships 10/4.

For even more Rachel Rachel Roy shoes, see the Rachel Roy website, Shoe Woo and Macys.  Shoe Woo is currently offering free shipping on any order, Rachel Roy has free shipping on $75 or more and Macys has free shipping on $99 with coupon code HOTLIST (exp. 9/27).

Endless Friends & Family Sale: 25% off Miz Mooz Sloane & more styles

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010

There’s always a huge selection of cute shoes at Endless and I tend to find several pairs I like when browsing around, so I definitely appreciate when they offer a nice discount on top of their standard free overnight or 2-day shipping.  That’s what they’re doing right now during their Friends and Family Sale, which takes 25% off orders $100 or more when you apply coupon code FRIEND25 during checkout.  This works out especially well if you’ve got a brand new fall style on your radar and you want to get it for less.  One such style that caught my eye is the unique and funky Miz Mooz Sloane in red, which is $109.95 before the coupon and $82.46 after, plus free overnight shipping.  This super-strappy pump can be worn on its own as we transition into fall, but I also think it would work well with tights underneath when colder weather sets in.  It comes in black, brown, cognac, grey and navy color options here for the same price.  The coupon expires 9/9/10.

Cheap-A-Thon: Cute shoes under $25

Thursday, August 12th, 2010

We haven’t seen our friend Cheap Chick in awhile, but she decided to pop out of her shell today in the name of cute shoes that won’t break the bank.  If you’ve been to this site before, you know that Cheap Chick is the resident bargain-hunting birdie at this shoe blog and her sole mission is to find shoes under $25.  Sure, she looks pretty tame, but be warned: she gets downright predatory when it comes to low-priced shoes, especially brand name pairs that normally cost much more.  Here’s what she hunted down today:

Smartbargains is having a Shoe-A-Thon, which works out quite well for this Cheap-A-Thon because they have a selection of nearly 50 shoes from brands like Fergie, Carlos Santana, Franco Sarto, Matisse and Harajuku Lovers marked down to just $19.  Sizes and color options are limited for some styles, but I like the Harajuku Lovers Kalista pictured above.  It’s still available in a wide selection of sizes and comes in silver, black or brown (color availability depends on size selected, some are sold out).  The sale ends 8/14/10.

6pm has the Madden Girl Maci in black with zipper accents marked down to $24.95 (MSRP $54.95).

6pm also has the Not Rated Beadster wedge in tan for $23.99 (MSRP $39.99).  It comes in black as well, but it’s almost sold out.

Shoemall has the Yellow Box Biloxi flip flop marked down to $29.99 (originally $37.95) and coupon code BK2SCHOOL takes 20% off until 8/17/10 and that reduces them to $23.99 with free shipping.  The similar Yellow Box Fusion is marked down to $23.99 and the coupon drops them to $19.19.

Also at Shoemall, the Avia A5020W running shoe is marked down from $44.95 to $28.99. The same coupon code listed above will make your total $23.99 with free shipping.

Victoria’s Secret has the Colin Stuart Patent Platform Sandal marked down from $58 to $24.99.  It looks like gold and black are the only colors available at this point depending on the size selected.  Use coupon code FREEVSSHIP for free shipping on 8/12/10 only.

Victoria’s Secret also offers the Colin Stuart Studded Sandal for $24.99, reduced from $75.  It comes in natural, brown or black depending on size selected.  Use the above coupon code for free shipping today only.

6pm has the RSVP Erinn in black, fuchsia, navy or white for $20.25 (MSRP $75).

6pm also has the RSVP Nell with teardrop peep toe in red, black, navy or grey for $23.22 (MSRP $85).

Aeropostale is having their Friends and Family sale that takes 30% off your order when you apply coupon code FFAUG at checkout until 8/15/10.  They have a few flip flops and sneakers in their footwear section, but I like the slippers.  These Aeropostale Striped Rugby Slippers are $14.99 before the code and $10.49 after.  Five other color options are available.

Please note that prices on any of the above shoes can change at any time and availability may be limited.
