The Jeffrey Campbell El Carmen is one of those styles that’s been released in several color/pattern options, but this playful polka dot version in pink and red is my personal favorite (although the blue/fuschia combo comes in at a close second).  That’s why it’s totally bittersweet to see it back in stock at Solestruck after it sold out the first time.  Sweet because it’s available for purchase, but bitter because I have so many extra things to pay for at the moment, I won’t be able to spare $119.95 to snag them!!  Gargh.  If this color combo isn’t your cup of tea, you must check out the super-cute new yellow gingham version:

With such a pretty print for light summer days – this one just might become my new fave.  There’s also a classic red gingham option available.

I recently posted about a Christian Louboutin Clou Noeud knockoff in black from Frederick’s of Hollywood and I noted that the shoe looked just like a sold-out style Nordstrom had offered a few months prior, the N.Y.L.A. Genevieve.  Well, I found that the Genevieve is back in action at Nordstrom and it’s now available in a hot new crimson shade.  I’m all about this bright red version, which could also be compared to the Christian Louboutin Lady Clou, another spike studded shoe from CL that came in red.  More good news: If you totally coveted the nude Clou Noeud when it was out, you’ll definitely want to check out this version:

If you’ve ever wanted to know what it’s really like to walk in Lady Gaga’s shoes, now is your chance.  The megastar is known for wearing extreme footwear like shoes made of meat and those risque American Idol shoes, but she seems to have a special preference for gravity-defying heel-less shoes.  We’ve seen heel-less shoes before on Victoria Beckham, who wore Antonio Berardi during an appearance in 2008, and we saw them on the Nina Ricci runway in 2009, but Lady Gaga’s heel-less shoe designer of choice is Noritaka Tatehana from Japan.  When asked about his newfound notoriety from Gaga wearing his shoes, Tatehana says “The hardest part is getting all of these emails from 15 year-old Lady Gaga fans. I think it’s probably good that the bottom part of these shoes extends a bit further back, which I imagine would increase the stability – a bit like training wheels.  Hey, even a trained professional like Gaga is known to fall from time to time.

It may be Monday and it may be tax deadline day, but we can dance if we want to.  And today, we’re doing the Chi Chi – the Boutique 9 Chichi, that is.  I saw this spicy little number over at Bloomingdales and, although it’s a bit hard to tell from the picture (you have to envision it wrapped around the foot), it appears it would be totally red hot when worn.  And, unbeknownst to me, there’s actually a definition for the word chi chi – at least, according to this free dictionary, which tells me it means “ostentatiously stylish” or “deliberately chic”.  Yeah, I’m down with that.

I’m sooo loving this cheerful new style, the Naughty Monkey Dreamy.  With the crisp red and white checked pattern on the upper and basket weave heel, these shoes are like a perfect little picnic for your feet.  The crystal and bead detail on the top manages to up the cute factor even more.  Christian Louboutin also released a shoe in gingham recently with the $875 Gressimo, but the Naughty Monkey pair is a far more affordable way to get a similar look.  You can find them at Endless for $60 with free overnight shipping and they’re also available in black, navy or brown gingham.

Snooki of MTV Jersey Shore fame appeared on Late Show with David Letterman last Thursday night (2/11/11) to promote her latest ventures, including her best-selling book A Shore Thing, her line of Snooki slippers and, indirectly perhaps, her flashing light up shoes:

I have to give a shout out to my dear Dad for alerting me to these shoes after he spotted them on the show (thanks Pa!) and David Letterman most definitely took notice of them too - it’s hard not to when the shoes feature eye-catching rows of flashing LED colored lights.  Jimmy Choo also did a light up shoe with their Jimmy Choo Zap that originally retailed for nearly $2,500 (now $1,247.50 at Jimmy Choo), but the Nina Shostopper bootie retails for $149.95 and is currently on sale for $97.95 with free shipping at Zappos:
