I’m so happy it’s Friday, aren’t you? In today’s Fun Shoes for Friday, I’m featuring not one, but two amazing shoes that I’ve talked about here on the blog and/or on Facebook before. But, when there’s a new version of a style and it really stands out, it’s definitely worth another mention. Like the Sam Edelman Roza, pictured above. The Roza is very similar to the Sam Edelman Lorissa and it comes in many of the same colors, like nude and black, but it differs with its closed toe and higher 1″ hidden platform. But, honestly, I’m posting about it today because of the color: the new ruby red suede version is gorgeous. I love red heels anyway, but it’s even better that it’s a particularly on-trend shade right now and always a great color choice for the holiday season, making it a fierce party shoe option. You can find it at Nordstrom for $224.95 with free shipping. Update: You can also find this style at Karmaloop for $225 and get 20% off and free shipping with coupon code HTSauce or TREAT (expiration unknown).

I also had to point out these Aldo star heels again. I recently professed my admiration for the first pair Aldo released in more muted tones, but they definitely took it up a notch in the glitz department with this version, which is covered in sequins. Count me in. You can find the Aldo Hafen at Aldo for $100 and apply coupon code getlucky75985 for 15% off (expiration unknown).
Have a great weekend!

I love Halloween and it’s just around the corner, so it’s definitely time to think about placing an order if you plan to dress up and shop online for your costume and/or accessories. I don’t dress up in costume every year, but I do occasionally like to go all out and wear a fun getup — my last one was Little Bo Peep with my baby daughter as the sweet little sheep. So, while browsing around some of the online Halloween stores to check out the latest kids’ costumes, I had to divert over to the women’s Halloween costume shoes to check it out. One that immediately caught my eye was this pair of teacup heels — too cute! These shoes have a cup handle on the back of the heel and the back of the shoe actually looks similar to the shape of a cup, despite the open part where the foot goes in, so I think the concept works quite well as a whimsical, unique costume shoe for a Wonderland / Queen of Hearts type of theme. Perhaps something along these lines, if you’re feeling extra saucy:

You can find the Teacup Shoes for $37.99 and the Queen of Hearts costume for $59.99 at CostumeSuperCenter.com. Coupon code OCT40 takes 15% off $40 or more (exp. 10/31). You can also find the shoes at BuyCostumes.com for $39.99 and coupon code TREAT15 takes 15% off through today, 10/6/11.

If you’re gonna sparkle, you may as well sparkle in many colors, à la this Bakers Maisie pump. I think the mix of shades — mostly cool colors like blue and green with a bit of gold thrown in — is a nice combination and could work well with many different looks, from the jeans-cute-top ensemble to a cocktail dress. Really, at this point, you can add sequin shoes to anything (ok, almost anything, let’s be reasonable) just to add a nice dose of shimmer to your look. And given that Dorothy’s sequin ruby slippers may fetch two million dollars at auction, the price tag on this pair seems downright reasonable. I know they aren’t red and they aren’t actually featured in The Wizard of Oz, but you can still click your heels three times in them if you really want to. If so, find them at Bakers for $85 with free shipping.
TGIF!

It’s Labor Day weekend, so it’s time to take a break from work (woo hoo!), give summer it’s last hurrah (um, wow, already?), and bring on the sales (score!). Shoe sales for Labor Day are always pretty great because we’re in transition from one season to the next, so there’s definitely some rock-bottom prices on remaining spring and summer styles, but you can also snag a discount on those fresh new fall arrivals you’ve had your eye on. So, if you’re ready for some shoe shopping, here are some noteworthy sales going on this weekend:

American Eagle is taking 40% off sitewide when you apply coupon code 28678011 at checkout. That’s definitely a much bigger discount than we normally see from AE and you can even apply it to clearance shoes that are already as low as $9.99 before the coupon. If you’re thinking ahead to fall, shop the latest women’s shoes, like the AEO Wedge Boot. It’s $79.50 before the code and $47.70 after. The coupon expires 9/5/11 and certain brands, like Minnetonka, are excluded.

Over at Steve Madden, get 30% off your order when you enter FALL30 at checkout. This code doesn’t apply to clearance; however, clearance shoes do enjoy an additional 50% off right now (prices reflect discount) and I’m seeing a bunch of really low prices, even many options under $30. One new style I’m checking out is the Steve Madden Stonned, which is $149.95 before the 30% off coupon and $104.96 after. The code expires 9/11/11.

Shop the sale shoes at LuLu’s and get another 25% off when you use coupon 25onSALE at checkout. The Jeffrey Campbell Foxy Fab in taupe floral is marked down from $129 to $87, then it falls to $65.25 after the code. The coupon expires 9/5/11.

Famous Footwear is having a BOGO sale, where the second pair of shoes purchased is 50% off, and you also get another 20% off when coupon code LABORDAY is applied in-cart. Of course, the 20% off can be used on one pair if desired, but you can definitely rack up the savings using the BOGO offer in combination with the code, especially since sale items are included in the offer. For example, the Madden Girl Cleary in red is on sale for $49.99 (originally $54.99) and when you add the Madden Girl Cluelezz leopard colorblock pump, also $49.99, you can get both for $59.99. Shipping is free on three or more pairs of shoes and the coupon expires 9/10/11.
More shoes on sale for Labor Day:
Macy’s: Extra 25% off clearance shoes (prices reflect discount), plus another 10% off with coupon code FALL through 9/5/11. The coupon also applies to regular women’s shoes.
Shoes.com: Extra 25% off sale shoes with coupon code 25SALE through 9/6/11.
Lord & Taylor: 25% off clearance shoes and 20% off regular and sale shoes with coupon code LDAY through 9/6/11.
Last Call by Neiman Marcus: 25% off women’s shoes and more at checkout, plus free shipping on $50 or more via code LABORDAY through 9/6/11.
All of these offers may have exclusions and are subject to change at any time.
Enjoy your Labor Day weekend!

Leopard and other animal prints are unquestionably huge for fall and we’re seeing many shoe options that incorporate the trend right now, but I definitely appreciate this particular take on it. The RACHEL Rachel Roy Chrissta has the whole animalistic look going on, but with a twist: it pops in bold purple and shades of blue and green.

Then you have the hanging spike detail in the back, which is a unique touch that gives it even more of a primal vibe. I must say, it’s appealing to my natural instincts for sure.
You can find this style at Macy’s for $120 and apply coupon code SCORE15 to get 15% off, making the total $102 with free shipping. The coupon expires 8/7/11.

It’s unabashedly colorful, super-sparkly, and back for Round 2 over at Solestruck – it’s the Haus of Price Mega Bootie 2! This showstopping pair is much like its predecessor, the fast-selling Mega Bootie, but with a bit of a remix with the cutout heel. Solestruck has it for $354.95, which is admittedly very pricey for many of us, but you have to consider that these are handmade by James Price and quite exclusive: Solestruck reports on their blog that they will be getting 18 pairs now and 36 for August shipment. Assuming those are the only ones made, you could be 1 of only 54 in the world to own this style, which means bragging rights are soo included.
Want to see the first Mega Bootie in action for a little inspiration? Check out the blog Mode Junkie to see how it’s done.
Have a great weekend!

For some reason or another, I have never mentioned the Jeffrey Campbell Lita on this shoe blog, despite its wild popularity that seems to keep going and going. Perhaps it’s because the Lita is a style that’s been featured on a ton of other blogs, as this article on StyledOn discusses, or maybe it’s because there are so many color options, I tend to get a bit sleepy after going through around 32 of the 45 options listed here (32 out of 45 Litas ain’t bad, though). Now, I might be exaggerating a little (I totally made those numbers up), but don’t get me wrong. I definitely don’t dislike the Lita — many people have rocked them like no one’s business and looked hella good doing it. But, I think I may have been missing something that I didn’t even know I was missing: star studs. Yes, I’ll admit it, cute little star studs get me almost every time. Thus, the Jeffrey Campbell Lita Stud shows up here today in all of its celestial glory. But, make no mistake, the addition of whimsical stars certainly doesn’t detract from its edgy aesthetic. It’s still got plenty of tough, not to mention the addition of a fold down cuff. Of course, if you want a more literal interpretation of a starry night sky, you’ll want to go with the totally out-of-this-world scene portrayed on the previously-released Jeffrey Campbell Cosmic:

The Lita with star studs is $264.95 at Solestruck and the Cosmic is $159.95, but low in size options. For more sizes on the Cosmic Lita, check out Karmaloop, where they are sold for $168. If you haven’t used coupon code SAVE20 at Karmaloop before, you can get 20% off and free shipping (expiration unknown) and score yourself a coveted Lita discount.

Update 8/16: Wow, I had to add these to the mix because the Lita has gone all-out ferocious now. Yes, you will be obeyed when wearing these: The Jeffrey Campbell Lita Spike for $194.95 at Envishoes.
Happy Monday!
