I had a request from my new Facebook friend, Laura, a bride-to-be who is looking for teal wedding shoes to match the absolutely beautiful dress (pictured above) that she picked for her big day. Specifically, she wants to find teal satin heels from 3-4″ in a peep toe d’orsay style with knotted detail or a bit of bling on the front. I’m happy to help out and I think teal is such a great color, but it can be tricky to find in shoes. Here are some styles that match all or most of the criteria Laura is looking for, making them viable options for walking down the aisle in gorgeous style:

First, we have the turquoise satin Paris Hilton Suarey. While it isn’t knotted in the front, it does have a pleated side bow that adds visual interest and you could always add something like these shoe clips (or perhaps these) for some added sparkle over the middle piece of the bow. These shoes are $95 at Shoes.com and you can apply coupon code SECRET20 for an extra 20% off through 7/5/11.

Then we have another style from the same brand, the Paris Hilton Spelled in turquoise satin. While it’s listed as the same color as the Suarey, this one strikes me as being more of a true teal shade, at least from this photo. It isn’t d’orsay or peep toe, but has the knotted front and some pretty bling along the top of the heel. Shoes.com has this style for $109 and you can get 20% off with the coupon code listed above. For additional size options, try Amazon.com or Heels.com.

While the Paris Hilton shoes are nice ready-made options, it might be best to try custom bridal shoes to really fine tune the details. My Glass Slipper offers a wide selection of designer shoes for brides, many of which can be dyed in your choice of the variety of colors they have available. Its sister site BridalShoes.com is similar, but offers less expensive wedding shoes under $100. The Pink Hot style pictured above, shown in teal, is priced at $89 with an extra $10 charge to dye it. They have many more shoes to choose from at various price points, but here are some I found that have all (or many) of the features Laura is looking for and can be ordered in white and then dyed teal for $10 extra:

Stuart Weitzman Knotted in white for $289. Note that some sizes won’t be available until September.

Benjamin Adams Salma for $199.

Paris Hilton Senorita for $120. You can dye the bow and toe area one color and the rest of the shoe a different color if desired, which is pretty cool.

Liz Rene Saskia for $92.

Pink Saffron for $80.

Pink Kiss for $80.
Note that once shoes are ordered and dyed, they are not returnable. However, they do offer Try-N-Dye, which is where you order the shoes to try them on and ensure they will work for you, then return them to get dyed (see site for details). You can also order a swatch of your desired color for $1.
Congrats to Laura and hopefully this will help out!

We’ve seen plenty of bold and bright colors take center stage this season and, as the weather heats up, we’re seeing more and more neon shades that take the trend up a notch. That’s why I’m loving the fresh color of the Senso Agnes wedge (above), which is available in “Fleuro”, a neon green hue that definitely isn’t seen very often when it comes to shoes. This super-bright shade is guaranteed to stand out and I also like the cool little cutouts, which form an indentation along both ends of the heel. More than just a mere pop of color, this pair is like…boom. There’s also a turquoise version available:

Get these shoes at Solestruck for $174.95 and, if you’re a fan of the brand, be sure and check out all of the new Senso shoes they just got in. Another fave of mine is the navy and gold version of the ever-popular Senso Wilma:

That gorgeous blue leather…sigh.

Update: The pink Senso Agnes is also now available at Solestruck.

We’ve been checking out both neutral shoes and multicolored shoes, but there’s another breed of footwear that combines elements of both. These shoes have a primarily neutral palette, in shades like taupe, black, white or gray, but then there’s some portion of the shoe that is played up with a nice shot of color. I love the overall effect this provides and, although there are many ways to wear these shoes, I find it particularly relevant for the colorblocking trend we’re seeing for spring (as noted on Stylelist). If you’re experimenting with this trend by combining various contrasting color combinations in your clothing, you might opt to incorporate just a touch of one of those shades in your shoes to bring it all together. Or, if you’re hesitant to try colorblocking with your clothes, some of these shoes have more than one hue, meaning the trend is already built-in and ready to go with any look you choose. I’m loving the Pelle Moda Franky (above) with a pop of bright orange, which can be found for $162 with free shipping at Lori’s Shoes or for $180 with free shipping at Shopbop. Here are some more options, in both warm and cool shades:

Aldo Dyle rubber sole wedge with a pop of yellow for $100 at Aldo. Coupon code 310687728 takes 10% off, making them $90 (exp 4/1/11). Note: If you’re obsessed with those Prada rubber sole wedges (like the $695 Prada Mary Jane Wedge) but can’t shell out the big bucks for them, this is a nice alternative for much less.

Aldo Heister platform sandals with a pop of orange or yellow for $100 at Aldo.com. Coupon code 310687728 takes 10% off, making them $90 (exp 4/1/11).

Nine West Stylin colorblock sandals in dark pink and orange for $89 at Nine West (ships 4/26). Shipping is also free for a limited time.

Fergie Bold heels with a pop of yellow for $99 with free shipping from Shoes.com. Get 20% off your order, making these $79.20, with coupon code SECRET20 (exp 3/31/11).

Madison Harding Casey wedge with a pop of yellow for $235 with free shipping from Piperlime.

Jeffrey Campbell San Diego colorblock sandals in orange and yellow for $135 at Nasty Gal.

Topshop Luminate sandals with a pop of pink for $145 with free shipping at Topshop.

Steve Madden Bellahh heels with a pop of coral on preorder for $129.95 at Steve Madden. Get free shipping by applying SMFREESHIP at checkout.

Nine West Braxton for $99.95 at Nordstrom with free shipping via coupon code SHOES (exp 4/14/11) or for $99 with free shipping at Nine West. This pair is also available in a yellow/orange/red combo.

Aldo Dyle again, this time in green, for $100 at Aldo.com. Coupon code 310687728 takes 10% off, making them $90 (exp 4/1/11).

N.Y.L.A. Daron in turquoise for $84.95 at DSW. DSW Rewards members can apply GETFAVES at checkout for $15 off $74, $30 off $149 or $50 off $199 (exp 4/4/11). That makes this pair $69.95.

I hope everyone is having a fun, fab St. Patty’s Day and wearing their lucky green! I rounded up a bunch of cute green shoes previously, but I didn’t know about the Colin Stuart Braided Platform Sandal (above), which has a nice dose of green - a color that gets along quite nicely with black and tan, I must say - and is available at Victoria’s Secret for $78. If I had known about these in time, I just might be rocking them today. Even though it’s too late to order some St. Patrick’s Day shoes in green, it’s definitely not too late to save some green. Avoid getting pinched - in the wallet, that is - with these shoe sales and coupons:
Famous Footwear: 20% off with coupon code LUCKY
Chinese Laundry: 20% off with coupon code 1DAYSALE317
PlanetShoes: 20% off with coupon code 20lucky
Endless: 25% off with coupon code MARFFEVT (exp 3/18). Update: Minimum purchase is $100.
Nine West: 30% off automatically at checkout (exp 3/21)
Shoemall: 20% off $20 or more with coupon code LUCKY20
DSW: Free shipping for members with coupon code CLOVER (exp 3/18)
Shoebuy: 20% off with coupon code GREEN
Note that all of these sales end today, 3/17/11, unless otherwise noted. Exclusions may apply.

St. Patrick’s Day is coming up on the 17th of this month, so I thought I would round up some green shoe options in honor of the day. This is serious business, after all, because you definitely want some of that Irish luck on your side and you most definitely want to avoid getting pinched. When it comes to checking out a bunch of cute green shoes, it’s a tough job, but someone must do it, right? Right. Ok, all jokes aside, here are some shoes that are in the perfect shade for some St. Patty’s Day revelry, but also for well beyond - applying a fresh, crisp pop of this color to your look is always nice for spring. That being said, let’s get into the groove of green:

Frye Kara Trapunto for $228 with free shipping from Zappos.

Mojo Moxy Sassy for $79.95 at DSW. Members get free shipping on $35 with coupon code SHIPR through 3/21/11.

Michael Antonio Gillespie for $64.99 with free 2-day shipping at Heels.com.

Irregular Choice Power Struggle for $106.98 with free 2-day shipping at Endless (limited sizes left).

Miz Mooz Silva for $99.95 with free overnight shipping at Endless.

Miss Me Rachel-2 for $46.39 with free 2-day shipping at Endless.

Two Lips Too Fling for $49.95 at DSW. See the code listed above for free shipping.

Aldo Carknard for $34.98 at Amazon, plus free shipping for a limited time.

Corso Como Fabulous for $49 at 6pm.
Here’s to the luck o’ the cute green shoes!

If you paid attention to the fashion on display at the Golden Globe Awards earlier this month, you no doubt took note of Helena Bonham Carter and her unusual getup, which included the same shoe being worn in different colors on each foot. Carter, who is known for her quirky style, definitely made a statement with her outfit choice, but she also landed on some worst-dressed lists in the process. At the same time, many people admire her bold approach to fashion and the fact that she stays true to her own sense of style, even if it isn’t conventional. Helena tells People, “Why not wear mismatching shoes? Who says we can’t? I was just having fun. For me, fashion is all about fantasy and putting unlikely things together. That’s what I love. I genuinely love dressing up.” I totally agree and, although I’m not running out to try the mismatched shoe look for myself yet, I do find it an intriguing concept. Of course, it would require buying two pairs of the same shoes to pull it off, although I’m bringing this up today because I ran across a style that totally reminds me of the half and half aesthetic of Helena’s shoes at the Globes, but in just one pair. Here’s what I mean:

This is the Poetic Licence Summer Bloom heel. These brightly-colored heels caught my attention at first glance, but at first I didn’t realize that they are one color on one side and a different color on the other. This is the other side:

They also have a cool ombre heel and even more contrasting colors on the platform and the flower detail. It all seems like an unlikely combo, but I’m loving the overall effect.

You can find these bright, spring-ready shoes at Endless for $129 with free overnight shipping. They are also eligible for the current promotion that takes 20% off select new styles $100 or more, so that drops them to $103.20 (expiration unknown). There are seven color options to choose from and some even have a solid color on one side and a print on the other, making the difference between the two sides even more distinct. So, with these, you can take a cue from Helena’s style and have some fun mixing it up.

Now I’m just trying to figure out which color combo I like best.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

It’s completely natural to be drawn to sparkly, shiny things and I guess that’s why my eyes went straight to these jewel-toned Haus of Price shoes while browsing the new styles over at Solestruck. At first glance, I thought the ever-evolving Jeffrey Campbell Tick had gone technicolor on us - the overall look is actually quite similar - but this is the Haus of Price Solid Goddess in red, green or blue and the detail on the heel is the result of gems rather than tacks. With the holidays coming up, I’m thinking these might be the perfect way to spice up a LBD or even add some bling to a pair of jeans. Each are priced at $239.95 at Solestruck and, if you love them, but can’t decide on just one color, you’re sure to go crazy for the multicolored styles from the same brand:

Haus of Price Multi Gem Arch Heel for $239.95.

Haus of Price Multi Gem Pump for $239.95 (Only 1 size left right now. Sigh. Tear.).
I think I’ll take them all, but if I can’t cough up $240 for just one before they all sell out, I suppose I’ll have to learn to wield a BeDazzler on an unsuspecting pair of pumps. That should be interesting.
Order any of these shoes at Solestruck and you’ll also get free shipping on your order.
Update: Karmaloop now has the Haus of Price Goddess in green for $230 and coupon code SAVE20 takes 20% off and gives free shipping, which drops the price to $184. They also have this style:

The Haus of Price Pearly White Booties, which are $230 before coupon and $184 after.

Update 2: Here’s another Haus of Price style, now in cage form. This is the Haus of Price Cage Wedge in multi gem and it’s available for $228 at Karmaloop.
