Naughty Monkey Punkalicious on sale for $44.62 + more Naughty Monkey discounts

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

I mentioned yesterday that one of my favorite shoe brands is Naughty Monkey because they always offer plenty of fun, fashionable shoes with a bit of a quirky edge.  But, like most things, Naughty Monkey shoes are made even more appealing when they go on sale.  That’s why I was glad to see the Naughty Monkey Punkalicious made it over to 6pm, the clearance site for Zappos, and is now marked down to $44.62 (MSRP $85) in your choice of red, navy or black.  Unless you buy the black version either at Endless for $49.90 or at Piperlime for $49.99 with free shipping included (few sizes are left at both), I haven’t seen it sold for less at any other store.  Need more Naughty Monkey shoes on sale?  Check these out:

Naughty Monkey Bada Bing for $31.98 with free shipping at Amazon in most size and color combinations. It comes in grey, black or tan. If your option is $89 at Amazon, try Endless for a price of $43.97 with free shipping or 6pm for $44.62.

Naughty Monkey Clydsdale in blue, black or red for $44.62 (MSRP $84.99) at 6pm.

Naughty Monkey Cinche in tan for $67.13 (MSRP $95.90) at 6pm.  Love the corset-like effect on the back.

Naughty Monkey T-Cup in pink, green, yellow or blue for $31.98 (list $79.95) with free shipping at Amazon.  They have a very Missoni-like pattern.

Naughty Monkey Take Me Out in wine or chocolate (pick your vice) for $44.62 (MSRP $90) at 6pm.

Naughty Monkey My Heart Is Tied for $36.38 (MSRP $79.99) at 6pm.

The expiration for these sale prices, if any, is unknown.

More or Less: Betsey Johnson Nina & Not Rated In LA (plus, the Not Rated Inked)

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

I think the Betsey Johnson Nina in cream is super-adorable, yet sophisticated, with its contrasting stripes and studded bow.  There was also a very appealing red, black and white version available at one time that appears to be sold out online.  You can get the best price on the cream pair at Heels.com, where it is on sale for $176.99 with free shipping, but few sizes are left.  Shoes.com also has them for $251.99 and coupon code MSAVE takes an additional 20% off, making them $201.59.  While this isn’t an outrageous amount of money, it’s still a big chunk of change for many of us and not always doable on a tight budget.

Enter the Not Rated In LA, which offers similar stripes - just in different colors - and a studded bow.  If given the choice (i.e. free reign to spend as much as I want), I would opt for the Betsey Johnson pair because they look higher in quality overall and I prefer the color scheme, but the Not Rated pair is definitely a cute alternative at a much lower price.  You can get this style in black or yellow at Shoes.com for $50 and the 20% off MSAVE code reduces them to $40 with free shipping.  There’s also a blue/white/red version available at Endless.com for $49.99 with free shipping.

Speaking of Not Rated, I saw this promo photo on Endless and had to find out which shoes were featured here:

And, you guessed it, they are from Not Rated as well (of note, Not Rated shoes are made by the same company as one of my fave brands, Naughty Monkey).  This is the Not Rated Inked:

These pump-boot hybrid shoes clearly look hot with boyfriend jeans and they’re nicely affordable too.  You can get these in black or cream for $60.95 (most sizes) with free shipping at Endless.  However, Shoes.com has them for $60 and the 20% MWAVE code drops them to $48 with free shipping.  They also have the yellow pair, which is now sold out at Endless.  Coupon expiration is unknown.

Sale Spotlight: Extra 40% off sale shoes at Dillards

Friday, February 26th, 2010

Dillards is having a really good shoe sale right now.  So good, in fact, that I had to break out our trusty sale spotlight to highlight some of the best deals.  They’ve taken an additional 40% off all permanently reduced sale items, which includes a selection of almost 350 women’s shoes (the sale price reflects the extra discount).  So, let’s take a look at some of the best shoe shopping bargains they have going on:

Michael Michael Kors Camden in black for $54 (originally $150)

Dolce Vita Celtic in platinum for $50.70 (originally $169)

Calvin Klein Prive in zebra for $41.99 (originally $108).  Of note, Amazon has the same shoe for a slightly higher price of $43.18, but free shipping is included.

Steve Madden Korset in black for $59.99 (originally $149)

Steve Madden Tayla in black for $41.99 (originally $99)

Beverly Feldman Chaos in leopard for $107.64 (originally $299)

BCBGeneration Border in black or rasberry for $33 (originally $110)

Vince Camuto Minnie in black for $89.99 (originally $198)

As far as I can tell, these prices can’t be touched at any other store right now.  The sale ends 2/27/10.

30% off shoes at Bloomingdales + more shoe sales

Friday, February 19th, 2010

Bloomingdales is taking an extra 30% off select women’s shoes during their Come Smile With Us sale.  As a result, there are some pretty impressive discounts to be had on brands like Dolce Vita, Tory Burch, Elizabeth and James, Via Spiga and more.  The Dolce Vita Trinity in zebra or leopard is reduced from $215 to $105 and I haven’t seen them for less than $150 at other stores.  The sale ends 2/21/10.  Update: This sale is over, but Lord & Taylor currently has the Dolce Vita Trinity in zebra or leopard on sale for $109.99.

Need more shoe sales this weekend?  Try these out for size:

Extra 25% off clearance shoes at Macy’s.  The discount is already applied to the product price.

Jeffrey Campbell Tick in tribal at Karmaloop for $120

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

The Jeffrey Campbell Tick is definitely one of those shoes that invokes a strong reaction.  From what I can tell, it’s a “love it or hate it” kind of style with not much in-between.  And those who love it, well, they really love it.  Just check out the blogs of Jeffrey Campbell and Solestruck, who report the frenzy of emails and calls they’ve received about this shoe and it’s availability.  Personally, I’m a fan - I sang the praises of the white and burlap versions in my Christmas Eve post.  I can see why it might be a bit extreme for some people, but that’s what makes it such a statement-making, head-turning kind of style.  I also love interesting details on the heel of a shoe and the series of small metal tacks used all over the wedge of the Tick definitely qualifies as unique.  We’ve seen this pair in black, white and burlap so far and Solestruck reports that a zebra version will be available soon.  We also now have a tribal Jeffrey Campbell Tick, which is exclusively at Karmaloop and available for preorder now:

Karmaloop notes in their blog that the Tick Shoe in Tribal appears to be inspired by the Givenchy Spring 2010 collection.  At first glance, I wasn’t too sure about the busy design on these, but I tend to like the Tick better when I see it actually being worn.  I can imagine the possibilities much more with this photo:

Yes, I think there are plenty of little black dresses out there that need an infusion of this wild, untamed style.  If you love.want.need the tribal Tick for yourself, head over to Karmaloop and get them for $150.  Apply coupon code XOXO for another 20% off, which makes them $120.  Coupon expires 2/16/10.

Update 2/20: It looks like Karmaloop is currently sold out.

Loving the new Naughty Monkey ‘Me O My’ & ‘Fiesta’ shoes

Tuesday, February 9th, 2010

I’m definitely a fan of Naughty Monkey and their line of fun and unique shoes.  One new style I’m craving right now is the Naughty Monkey Me O My pump, which has that classic combination of black and white along with edgy details like studs and snake print.  I tend to wear a lot of black, grey and white, often mixed with a pop of bright color, and I imagine this pair would really add some extra flair to that kind of look.  You can get these at Shoemall for $69.95 and get another 15% off with coupon code NEXJUMP, making them $59.46.  They are also available in yellow or blue.

Update: I noticed a better price for this shoe at Nordstrom.  Get it on sale in white or blue for $45.90 and use coupon code SHOES at checkout for free shipping.  The coupon expires 4/12/10.

I’m also crushing on the super-hot Naughty Monkey Fiesta.  In contrast to the ‘Me O My’, this shoe would be perfect for adding that pop of bright color to your outfit and I’m loving the reptile print on the platform.  I also have a weakness for extra-small baby studs, especially the ones along the heel, so I’m seriously coveting this pair.  My favorite is the yellow version, which is sold at Endless for $80.95, but it also comes in brown, black or purple.  If you like the purple, Shoemall has it for $79.95 and you can use the above coupon for another 15% off, making them $67.96.

Update: Endless is almost sold out of the yellow Fiesta, but you can also get it at Nordstrom for $79.95.

Coupon expiration is unknown.

Cheap-A-Thon: Cute cheap heels under $25

Saturday, February 6th, 2010

As you may know, Cheap Chick has a love for finding shoes on the cheap (i.e. under $25) and even more so now that Valentine’s Day is coming up.  She tends to get all gooey and sentimental about it around this time of year, in contrast to the bad little birdie alter-ego we’ve seen before, but it works out well for anyone looking for their own cute cheap shoes because she’s even fiercer when on the hunt.  Since it is getting close to V-Day, Cheap Chick decided to totally focus on finding heels this time - since many like to get dressed up for the day of love - and she even threw a few pink and red pairs in for good measure.  Here’s what she found:

Two Lips Ceporah in red satin and five other color options for $19.49 (MSRP $77.95) at 6pm.  Update: Now $15.59.

Nine West Rocha in pink or blue for $19.75 (MSRP $79) at 6pm.  Update: Now $15.80.

A Nine West Bonfire lookalike, the Mossimo Vilma in grey for $20.98 (MSRP $29.99) at Amazon

Newport News Patent Slingback Sandal in black and white for $17.99 (regularly $45)

Steve Madden Richh for $22.49 (MSRP $89.95) at 6pm.  Update: The sale price has ended and is now increased to $48.30.

Exchange by Charles David Lunar in leopard for $20.50 (MSRP $82) at 6pm.  Update: Now $16.40.

Not Rated Old Fashion in chocolate for $23.98 (MSRP $59.95) at Amazon

Madden Girl Loveit in giraffe print for $19.98 (MSRP $49.95) at 6pm

Jessica Simpson Straw wedge in red or black patent for $19.75 (MSRP $79) at 6pm.  Update: Now $15.80.

Steve Madden Chazz in red and three other color options for $22.49 (MSRP $89.95) at 6pm.  Update: The red version has sold out.

Schutz 34901005 in brown for $22.43 (MSRP $89.70) at 6pm.  Update: Now $17.94.

Cheap Chick wanted to add one boot to the mix:

Newport News Slouch Bootie in black or taupe for $24.99 (MSRP $49).  Plus, there’s more cute boots under $25 at Newport News.

Please note that many of these sale prices appear to be permanent markdowns, but can change at any time.  Some of the 6pm sales expire 2/7/10.

Christian Siriano for Payless Spring 2010 shoes available at Payless

Thursday, February 4th, 2010

I was checking out the shoes at Payless today and noticed some new Christian Siriano for Payless spring styles are now available.  Just like we saw with his Fall 2009 collection, the shoes are much different from those that were shown on the runway.  The pictures above, found on Zimbio.com, were seen in September 2009 during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and they feature claw heels, super-high platforms and edgy embellishments, like large, shiny buckles and straps.  Here are the shoes (or some of them) now:

Christian Siriano for Payless Coast Printed Satin Pump in blue for $34.99

Christian Siriano for Payless Coast Printed Satin Pump in orange for $34.99

Christian Siriano for Payless Downtown Zip Sandal in snake or black for $34.99

As you can see, all of the details that made these shoes interesting on the runway are absent and the only real similarity is the fabric.  I can understand toning things down for the masses and the need to keep the shoes affordable by keeping production costs down, but then I have to wonder why the shoes are shown on the runway in the first place.  Sure, they create plenty of buzz, but the typical Payless customer may not know about the runway shoes, or even who Christian Siriano is for that matter.  I thought these collections were aimed to gain a different kind of customer - i.e. one who does pay attention to Fashion Week and what designers are doing and who may not normally shop at Payless.  This kind of customer might be willing to buy these shoes, even at a higher price, if some of the original elements were retained that made the shoes edgy and unique.  Maybe the claw heel is too extreme for Payless, but they could have raised the platform and made the toe more pointy, which surely couldn’t raise costs by that much.  That’s my 2-cents, what do you think of the shoes?

One thing you can call these shoes is affordable, particularly right now during the Payless BOGO sale, which takes 50% off your second pair until 2/15/10, including the Christian Siriano for Payless shoes.  You can also get another 20% off with coupon code 30445 until 2/28/10.  That makes any two of the above pairs $41.99 total with $5.95 extra for shipping or free shipping to your local store.

Sale Spotlight: Fergie shoes on sale under $50 at Torrid

Saturday, January 16th, 2010

When talking about Fergie shoes, it’s hard not to insert a Fergie-ism, like “These shoes are so 3008″ or “They’re fergalicious [They're hot, hot!]“, but I’ll try to refrain from doing that.  Instead, I’ve found some Fergie shoes on sale - all of which are lower in price than I’ve seen at any other online store.  So, if you’ve been eyeing the Fergie Disco in Gold above or any of the shoes below, head over to Torrid.  They are currently taking an extra 50% off clearance, including shoes, so you’ll find select Fergie styles for a lot less (sale price already reflects discount).  Here are a few standouts:

Fergie Disco in pink tie-dye for $39.49.  The gold snakeskin Fergie Disco is the same price (originally $99).

Fergie Thief bootie in black for $49.99 (originally $139)

Fergie Jester leopard heel for $39.49 (originally $99)

Fergie Jolt in black for $39.49 (originally $99)

See all clearance shoes at Torrid for more options (note that clearance purchases are final).  If you spend over $75, get free shipping with coupon code GETITFREE at checkout.  Sale ends 1/18/10.

ALDO Lacau on clearance for $31.99 + free shipping at Amazon

Wednesday, January 13th, 2010

While browsing shoes at Amazon today, I ran across the ALDO Lacau and it definitely caught my eye with its appealing mix of textures and shades and triple buckle.  It’s also on clearance right now, which makes it all the better.  The teal version above, which is perfect for applying the turquoise color trend Pantone predicts this year, is on sale for $31.99 (originally $90) or get the unique muti-colored turquoise version below for the same price (sizes are getting limited):

I have to admit, the fuchsia pair is my favorite, although it’s priced higher at $48.99 (there’s also a black version for $45.99):

The Lacau is also available direct from ALDO, but Amazon is offering free shipping on ALDO products for a limited time, so you save money on the shipping costs.

Feeling icy? Get cozy in these cute slippers from $4.99

Friday, January 8th, 2010

It’s been pretty chilly here lately and, although I don’t like cold weather all that much, I’ve definitely been enjoying the rare bout of snow we received in my area - just enough for my husband and 4-year old to craft these cute mini snowmen.  Plus, when temperatures drop, I have to admit it’s nice to hole up in the house and get super-warm and cozy in front of our fireplace, donning my new Snuggie (thanks Mom and Dad!) and, of course, slippers.  Slippers are fun because you don’t wear them in public, so you can go all-out and be really playful with them or you can stick with a classic pair with a bit of stylish flair.  Whatever you prefer, I’ve found some slipper options that will do the job right.  Plus, we’re seeing plenty of good clearance sales, so you can save some serious money too.  Check these out:

These may not be the most highly affordable slipper option, but they are highly adorable.  The Giesswein Flower Ballet Slippers are $66 at Garnet Hill.

If you can’t deal with too much heat on the feet, try these Aeropostale Striped Rugby Slippers in red or pink.  These flip flop slippers give your tootsies room to breathe, but they are perfect for slipping on after a bath or shower.  Get them for $14.99 at Aeropostale.

Message from Princess: January shoe sales to check out

My site was down for most of yesterday due to hosting technical issues - always a fun thing, let me tell you.  Luckily, all seems to be corrected and I, for one, am ready to talk shoe sales.  It’s January, a month that never experiences a shortage of discounts, so let’s take a look at some of the sales we’re seeing so far:

At Guess.com, get an extra 50% off sale shoes at checkout until 1/7/09.  Sizes are limited for many styles, but there are still several options left for the Guess Pettis, which is $51.50 after discount.

After coupon, you can get them for $35.69 with free shipping.

Shoes.com still takes an additional 20% off sale shoes with coupon code WINTER.  I’m not sure when that code expires, but you can use it on the $73.60 Betseyville Larina in black or pink.  After coupon, get them for $58.88 with free shipping.  Or, head over to Shoesteal, the clearance site for Shoes.com, to get up to 75% off and an extra 20% discount with coupon code BUBBLY20 until 1/10/10.

Shoe Buzz: Shoes from the closets of Kim, Gretchen & Teresa of The Real Housewives on Bravo

Thursday, December 17th, 2009

I’ve definitely developed a serious addiction to The Real Housewives series on Bravo.  It started out innocently enough - I didn’t even watch the first OC season when it originally aired, but started catching up on re-runs and subsequent seasons, then started watching the Atlanta, New York and New Jersey seasons - and now it’s full-blown, can’t miss TV complete with in-between-season withdrawal.  Sure, there are plenty of situations on the show designed for maximum drama - like those frequent get-togethers with the cast, even those that don’t get along, just to see what happens (wig-pulling, table-toppling, that kind of thing) - and the ladies certainly play things up for the camera, but you get the sense that they are being pretty real and they definitely entertain.  Plus, they all love their fashion.  That’s why it was fun to see a recent In Touch article called In Their Closets, which gives a peek into the personal wardrobes of Teresa from New Jersey, Gretchen from Orange County and Kim from Atlanta.  They each have their own unique sense of style, so who do you identify the most with fashion-wise?

I think I’d have to say Gretchen Rossi, whose bubbly, effusive personality has really grown on me this season (lay off already Tamra!).  She describes her look to In Touch as “very girlie-girl, very bedazzled, very glamorous” and she proves her point by wearing a super-sparkly sequined mini dress in magenta, which she calls “fantabulous”.  She wisely pairs it with nude Christian Louboutin heels that are super-sexy, but allow the dress to shine.  They look similar to this pair:

Christian Louboutin Lady Claude in nude for $745 at Saks Fifth Avenue

Here are some lower-priced nude heels:

Nine West Bonfire pump for $88.95 with free overnight shipping at Endless

BCBGirls Ariel for up to $89.95 depending on size selected at Amazon.

Gretchen also holds two of her shoes in the mag and I definitely recognized one of them right away.  It’s this pretty pair:

The Bebe Bella Lace Sandal, which is $149 at Bebe.com.  Buy 1 full-priced item, get 50% off a second item using coupon code GET50OFF until 12/20/09.  Or, get 15% off $100 or more with code 15OFF100 until 12/24/09.

The other pair is a black satin heel with a decorative rhinestone ornament on top.  I’m not sure of the exact pair, but these shoes have a similar look:

Badgley Mischka Elia for $200 with free overnight shipping at Endless.com.

Nine West Fancywork for $89 at Ninewest.com.  Get $20 off $75 with coupon code NWHOLD9 (exp. unknown) and shipping is free.

This pair looks like the shoe version of Gretchen’s sequin dress:

Betsey Johnson Kanata on sale for $152 (reduced from $200) at Zappos with free shipping.

Update: See the pair that looks like Gretchen’s ALDO boots from Watch What Happens Live.

Let’s move on to Teresa Giudice, who shows off a wide array of shoes in her closet.  Teresa has a sophisticated style, but she likes to keep up with the very latest in fashion.  She tells In Touch, “Lots of people buy classic items, and they keep them forever.  But I’m more trendy, so my stuff sometimes goes out of style.”  She also likes to keep things spicy - we see plenty of zebra, leopard and other animal prints in her wardrobe, along with plenty of bold colors and prints.  Here are a few shoes seen in Teresa’s closet:

Christian Louboutin Lace Bootie for $1,785 at Neiman Marcus.  I couldn’t see the back of the shoe, so it could be the leopard Christian Louboutin Bridget for $1,795 at Barney’s (only 1 size 10 left right now).  This is definitely the “it” shoe of the moment.  Update: Check out the Christian Louboutin Bridget lookalike shoe that I found for much less.

Pelle Moda Vino for $180 with $5 shipping at Jildor.

Miss Sixty Callista for $75.60 at 6pm.

Here are some shoes inspired by Teresa’s style:

Sergio Zelcer Covos Peek Toe Pump for $182.95 at Endless

Naughty Monkey Chiller in zebra for $74.90 with free overnight shipping at Endless.

Wet Seal Metallic Pink Heel for $24.50 at Wet Seal.

Two Lips Gypsy Lace Platform Bootie for $69.95 at DSW.  Members use code SNOWMAN at checkout for free shipping on $35.

Last, but certainly not least, is Kim Zolciak, who always goes all out with fashion and prefers a luxe look with plenty of bling and sex appeal.  She tells In Touch that she owns a whopping 1,000 pairs of shoes and that her favorite brand is, not surprisingly, Christian Louboutin.  She says, “They are so uncomfortable, but they’re so hot, so I love them.”  She likes to mix it up with other high-end names too - I spotted the same Louis Vuitton heel that Leighton Meister wore to the Met Ball, another Louis Vuitton tribal-look heel that may be this shoe from Spring 2009 Ready-to-Wear, her red and gold feather shoes (I think these are Louboutin, but not sure), the Louboutin glitter heels, and the YSL Tribute Platform Mary Jane, which is not available for sale online, but you can see a pic over at FabSugar.  Clearly, these are amazing shoes, but not readily available at prices most people can afford, so here’s a few “inspired-by” pairs:

Miss Sixty Jessica for $99 with free shipping at Zappos.

Martinez Valero Brit for $148.95 with free overnight shipping at Endless.

Stuart Weitzman Avalon silver glitter heel for $355 at Zappos.

Pleaser Dolly for $39 at Amazon.

I’m looking forward to tonight’s episode, are you?

Bebe & Steve Madden Friends & Family Shoe Sales

Thursday, December 10th, 2009

Bebe and Steve Madden both started their Friends and Family sales today.  Bebe takes 30% off any full-priced order when you use coupon code UNWRAP at checkout.  That’s an unusually high discount for Bebe, particularly because there isn’t a minimum purchase involved. You can opt to go all-out sexy for the holidays in this red Bebe Ava Ruffle Sandal with a triple platform that alternates layers of satin, snake and metallic.  It’s $139, but drops to $97.30 after code.

Then there’s the Steve Madden Friends and Family Sale, which takes 25% off any purchase of $59.95 or more with free shipping.  Enter coupon code FF25 at checkout to get the savings.  One of my favorites is the Steve Madden Regaal, especially the leopard and red version.  It’s $119.95 before discount and $89.96 after.  Pair it with a little black or red dress for instant dramatic flair.  There’s also four other color options priced at $99.95 before discount, $74.96 after.

Both codes expire 12/13/09.
