Easter shoes & fun this weekend
I had a really nice time with my family for Easter this weekend. On Saturday, my mom, sister, and I went shopping with the goal of outfitting our sweet little girls (my two daughters and niece) in pretty little Easter dresses and shoes, which is always a fun time. We decided to go to Shoe Carnival to check out the kids shoes since we knew they were having a BOGO sale. I didn’t really intend to buy myself anything since I was focused on dressing up my girls; however, temptation won out when I spotted the Soda Terani wedges you see me wearing above. I first saw these online at Tillys last week and really liked them, so when I saw them in person and still felt the same after trying them on, I couldn’t leave them there.
The pink and yellow shades looked very Easter to me, like colors found on dyed eggs or candy, and I added an extra element of colorblocking via sky blue toes. These shoes are very high, but despite the towering 5.5″ heel, they are surprisingly comfortable. I found that going half a size up felt better to me when I tried them on in the store, so that’s what I opted to do, although it wasn’t totally necessary. It just gave me a little extra wiggle room around the front strap area since I have a wider foot. At $30, these were quite a bargain and they definitely look like they could be higher in price to me (they are even lower online at $24.98). Plus, since there was a BOGO sale, I scooped up another cute pair for just $12 more (you can see those at the end of the post). Color me happy. Update: These are also now available at LuLus for $29.
Here are some more pics from our family Easter get-together that I wanted to share:
My daughter had to have these sparkly flats when she saw them. Yes, she appears to already be taking after me when it comes to shoes! These are from a brand called Innocence, but I couldn’t locate them online.
This is the beautiful view behind my parent’s house and we enjoyed it while grilling out and egg hunting in the backyard.
My sister got these cute white strappy wedges for her Easter shoes, the Solanz Beezus. These were $40 in the store, but are on sale for $29.98 online at Shoe Carnival.
My parents always know how to make things special when they have us over for holidays. The food was amazing and I love my mom’s beautiful table arrangement and deviled egg chicks!
This is the other pair I bought, the Y-Not Sure-S in teal. These wedges were on sale for $24.98 in the store and the price is the same online. I got them for around $12.50 because of the BOGO offer.
Trying out a bit of pattern mixing with floral and striped denim.
I hope everyone had a happy Easter weekend as well!
