I’m generally not a huge fan of celebrity shoe lines.  I don’t blame celebs for wanting to start a shoe line (hey, I’d do it too!) and I’m not really all that concerned about how much actual time and work they put in it (doesn’t matter really), but celebrity shoes must be unique and different enough from everything else out there for me to want to buy.  In other words, I won’t choose their shoes over an established designer just because their name is slapped on it. L.A.M.B. shoes, on the other hand, are definitely an exception for me because the shoes Gwen Stefani puts out there are hot.  Expensive, but hot.  So, I get a little giddy when I see them on sale.  Luckily, Amazon is having a sandal blowout sale right now, which puts some of Gwen’s styles at much more affordable prices.  Here are some of the LAMB shoes on sale right now:

The LAMB Fabienne is one of my personal favorites.  It’s just so feminine and pretty and I particularly like the ivory/tan combo, but there’s only a few sizes left.  No wonder, because this gorgeous pair is marked down from its $354.95 list price to $113.58 with free shipping.  If you don’t see your size, try the black or cognac versions, which are the same price.

6pm is known for their brand-specific supersales, such as the Ugg sale that started today, which they call their Ugg-stravaganza.  Ugg shoes aren’t discounted very often and this sale takes up to 80% off , so it makes sense that all the boots are already gone (boo).  However, there’s still a selection of Ugg sandals, wedges and flip flops priced $30 and under to choose from.  Shipping adds $6.95 and the sale ends 9/15/09 or while supplies last.

I’m way more enthused with the Via Spiga selection, most of which are marked down to $49.95.  There are really cute boots, heels, sandals and flats at up to 80% off retail (which is normally in the $100-$300 range).  I have a bit of a weakness for leopard print shoes, so I’m eyeing this Via Spiga Dory peep toe pump.  They are $124.23 at Overstock right now, so the $49.95 price tag at 6pm is looking really good.  This sale is one day only and expires 9/8/09.

I haven’t updated the site in quite awhile and I have to say I didn’t simply give up on the site or lose interest.  It was never my intention to stop, but life had suddenly hit me really hard and turned me upside-down, at least temporarily.  I won’t go into all the details, but when you lose family members, move and experience some day job drama, all in a short period of time, the result is major site malfunction.  But, I think things are turning back around and there’s nothing I want more than to dust off my magic shoe wand and continue to do something that makes me happy.  Life is short, something I’ve definitely been reminded of lately.  So, if you’re with me, it’s time to revel in the shoe love once again.
